Great Italian food and a great atmosphere! The service was prompt and friendly.
Will go back!
Il Fornello was a wonderful experience!
We visited for a friend’s birthday before heading out dancing, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming it truly felt like a family-oriented restaurant. The family photos on the wall were such a beautiful touch and added to the charm.
The menu had so many tempting options, it was hard to choose! Our server, Anthony, was fantastic friendly, informative, and patient with all our questions. My friends ordered the insalata frutti di mare, and I went with the chicken asiago absolutely delicious!
I would highly recommend this location for any special occasion or casual outing. We’ll definitely be back.
Delicious lunch and service was great!
Very good food and service!!!
Came here for a late lunch. The restaurant was very quiet, only a couple other patrons spread around. Our server was attentive, filling the waters, checking in on our meals, fresh ground pepper, etc.
Offers gluten free pizza dough, possible other GF options available.
Chicken Parm is easily one of the best in the city. You can taste the layers of flavour put into the chicken, breading, freshly panfried. Served with a good portion of linguine with red sauce.
Food and service are great, not crowded Sunday lunch
We visited with my family yesterday for my birthday. I want to start off by thanking our server Guy and the team in the kitchen for the great service and food.
Service - Guy was friendly and hard working, always speaking to everyone in my family with grace and kindness, even though he was busy. He was terrific.
Food: Everyone enjoyed their food. I think my parents struggled a little with the pizza they were served, they found the crust to be hard but I didn't try it so I can't comment.
The reasons for my less than a 5 star review -
Food - was good but we felt the prices were quite high for some of the items. We asked for a side of pasta and a side of mashed potatoes/veggies, both were charged quite high since they were sides and not full portions. We should have just ordered full portions at that point. We let it be since it was a family dinner.
Service - I called and left a message to make a booking but no one returned my call. I called back again and the person apologized but it was still a little annoying that no one had bothered to return my original call. I let them know that I had a birthday cake and they said there would be a $20 cake fee. Fair enough, I get that we're taking away from potential dessert orders. When I arrived with the cake, a tall, silver-haired gentleman who worked there said, "You brought a cake? Did you tell the team when you booked?" Of course I did. Did you need to pounce on me with that tone as soon as we walked in? It wasn't the friendliest start. He changed his tone and said, "We'll have that in the walk-in for you for later"....but why start off that way?
The dining room was also packed for maximum sales. I remember back when this location had more space between the tables, I do miss that.
Overall, like I said, I thank Guy and the kitchen staff for their effort. I think some of the other service elements need a little fine tuning.

Staff and service is great as per usual, pizza stands the test of time. The pasta however, has gone way downhill. Most of our orders' noodles were overcooked, and sauces lacked cohesion. For $30 you'd expect fresh vs frozen seafood. Not a deal breaker, but will probably stay clear of the pasta next time.

We had pizza. It was awful. We expected a gourmet style pizza. It was anything but. Our server was very nice and gracious. Atmosphere was, meh! Can't speak for other menu items but I would definitely not recommend this place if you are looking to have a good pizza experience

Good day to all. This restaurant does not deserve an Italian name, the first is a basket of bread for money, but I have been to many Italian restaurants and a basket of bread was, brought as an aperitif, the second is the service minus 1 star because I had to ask for chili's hot oil separately with the pizza, no one offered it and when you call the waiter the reaction is negative. The food is delicious but the service is minus 5 points.
