John's Chinese BBQ Restaurant

Closing Feb 2nd, long overdue. The owner (cashier lady), waitress, the guy who chops bbq meat at front door, all 100% bottom attitude & service. Do not understand why they have been in business for so many years. They used to have a good waitress, since owner came back from sick leave, she fired that waitress and hired someone who has no sense what service is. Glad to see them go since I will not go there anymore. Can't wait to see a new venue there.

Went many many times, and ate take outs many many times due to relatives like this resta. Food r not good, including the so-called famous BBQ duck, even dare to charge for bottle opening $10 PER bottle. A few days ago, relatives bought take outs, not good as usual. One of the take-outs, the curry brisket had just a few brisket bits and tasted terrible, like someone rubbed the whole thing in his arm-pit... called the resta to no avail....

There was an old lady who worked as a casher. She was really rude, no smile at all when you ask questions. It seems everyone own her money.

Absolutely worst place. No wonder why their score is 3.5. Server(around 60yo female) is rude, no English communication; here I thought she was speaking in Chinese. She doesn't understand what customer says or wants. Being short on customers? Know your place...

I should have known better because there were no one when I got there. Do yourself a favor and don't even try this place.

Why is the menu for this place only in Chinese? It's like you don't want anybody other than Chinese folks attending your restaurant. That's some bullshit. This is Canada not China. Add English to the menu.

I found a died cockroach 🪳 in the takeout barbecue pork. I already reported to the health inspection authority. This is so damn gross!! 🤮

We had some traditional Cantonese food before retiring and tried the BBQ Pork King, Shark's Fin and Taro! We can have traditional taste!
