We just stopped by for coffee and tea. My wife had a cup of tea plus a tiny strawberry mousse cake. I had a cup of coffee with a small green tea mousse cake. Price was 35$ plus tip. Simply not worth it and the taste was ok but nothing extraordinary.
For sure I will take it off our “to go” list

She is one of the best
Her cakes are very detailed and not too sweet. I loved my cake for my daughter. Especially the strawberry mousse cake. Will love to come back and i do recommend her very much. Thank you dear 🌸

Another expensive, disappointing and over-rated experience......vow not to return again!!

First off...JW?! Nope, it does not stand for Jehovah Witnesses but instead Janice Wong, the pastry chef owner!😂

My first visit to this neighborhood pastry shop and cafe was quite a few years ago when I found the higher-than-norm pricing products too sweet for my liking and hence have not returned since!

Recently, a third party foodie told me JW now offers a great tasting 'Chestnut cake'.....my wife's favorite! So, I paid it another visit in the hope of trying one. Sadly, the cake needs to be pre-ordered and cost $60 (cash)/$68 ( credit card ) for a 7" diameter one! ( some decent ones I've encountered elsewhere were only around $38 for a 6" one! Looks like their exorbitant pricing trend still carries on after all these years! )
Since I already set foot inside the store, I decided to pick up an " Earl Grey Mousse, Mandarin Gelee and Chocolate sponge cake " from the sparse display units......BIG MISTAKE!
With no displayed pricing, I was stunned to see this stingy size cake ( 2.5 " diameter plus 1.5" high ) costs me a whopping $11.65!! I would have rejected it if it wasn't for the fact the sales lady already packed it into a container.
Tasting it at home yielded another unimpressive result. A typical, run-of-the-mill mousse and jelly product with ho-hum looking appearance. Taste and look definitely does not commensurate with the high price they are charging!
Note also that, two 'way more superb' patisseries...DUO and Ruelo are just a short drive down the road!!
Caveat Emptor!

Place did not have many pastries at 12:30. A little more detail and decoration will help make it cozy. Coffee was ok but too hot it burnt the milk.

Perfect cappuccino and most delectable chestnut based treat. Not too sweet, cookie base filled with sweet cream and topped with chestnut.Luckily, I stumbled upon this shop. Need to come back and try their other sweets!

The little desserts are good but overpriced. I had the earl gray one and the mango one, both very pretty but blend. The owner is sooo unfriendly, almost feels unprofessional. Says no to all coffee requests other than whats on the menu, also refused to share the wi-fi password even for paying customers. I would not reccommend, go to elephant grind just down the street for better coffee and friendly staff.

Great place for lunch. She takes a lot of care in the making of your meal, and you can taste it. She seems to be the type who needs to make something the right way, and takes pride in it. All food is very fresh, and delicious. Coffee is great...I've been staying strong not trying the sweets...but they look so good I will treat myself next time. A nice gem in the neighborhood.
