Friendly staff, food is average but took a little long to come out (considering there was only 2 other tables dining).

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Kim’s Tofu! My mom and I shared the Combination Soon Tofu (mild), which came with beef, mussels, and shrimp, served alongside hot stone pot rice. My brother ordered the Seafood Soon Tofu (spicy), packed with shrimp, mussels, and oysters also with that signature stone pot rice.
One of the servers (possibly the owner) kindly pointed out the crispy barley rice at the bottom of the hot stone pot and recommended eating it for both its taste and health benefits, a great tip!
When the food arrived, we were more than ready to dig in. The soon tofu was flavourful and comforting, and the seafood was cooked just right. The banchan (side dishes) were a perfect complement to the meal, it was tasty, varied, and refilled upon request.
Everything from the food to the service was excellent. We left full and happy. Definitely recommend stopping by Kim’s Tofu if you’re in the mood for hearty, satisfying Korean comfort food!

I love their seafood spicy tofu soup - hearty, flavorful and steamy hot! Their price has gone up and on the pricier side, but quality is there. Their rice that came with the soup is cooked to perfect texture to be served with the soup, but very small portion.
The service is average in an Asian restaurant, and atmosphere is aged with limited ventilation so it could get warm in there in the summer.

Have come here for many years with my kids. Consistently good quality soon tofu. We come here so often, I wish the menu were larger, but if it's soon tofu you want, this is a great place!

The food here never misses! Always look forward to coming here for a delicious bowl of soontofu and seafood pancake.
The menu is focused on sundubu, so you know you're in for a treat. However, the seafood pancake was a standout. The pieces of squid were soft and not chewy. It provided the mild fishy smell, which works beautifully with the golden crusted panko crumbs (which further enhanced the appetizing smell). The pancake was fluffy and loose, breaking apart very easily. It didn't compress and go flat. Scallions were more raw than I'm used to (not complaining). Typically scallions are cut in larger pieces and cooked longer so it wilts or browns slightly. If you like your scallions to be a bit more raw for the fresh crunch, you'll love this.
Lastly, the pancake is about the size of a medium-sized pizza. Definitely order this if you visit with a group.
This hidden gem is within an unassuming alley.
It's not easy to see from the parking lot or street but once you know it's here, you will keep coming back.
This Korean restaurant is delicious with authentic flavors and has attentive service. Their name Tofu is highlighted in almost all aspects of the menu. I go for the typical Soon Tofu. It's a win every time.
A must-visit and a hidden gem in Richmond Hill.
Parking can be tough during high-times.
Great little place for some yummy soups. Nice and filling and good value.

I had the beef dumpling soon tofu and it was absolutely perfect, especially on a chilly day. The broth was rich and flavorful, the dumplings were tender and packed with savory goodness, and the tofu was silky and fresh. It’s the ultimate comfort food—warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The flavors were so well-balanced, and every bite was pure bliss. If you’re looking for authentic Korean flavors and something to warm you up, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
Been here several times due to convenience. The food is average, but price is a bit high for what it is and in comparison to other eateries of similar cuisine.
What's puzzling is the poor service level. The few times for dinner we have been here, it is around 1/3 occupancy but service is slow enough to be an issue.
Cozy family run restaurant
Overall was an average experience here on a weeknight. The portion of the bulgogi was extremely small for the price.
The worst meal I've had recently. The pork cutlet was so overcooked that it left my mouth completely scratched. I would never want to go back to this place.
