Had Lago make my wedding cake. They did a fabulous job! Super accommodating using some decor pieces I already had and were very flexible with picking up. The cake turned out amazing, so many guests complimented how great it was. Very reasonably priced for how much we got.

Picked up an Italian Rum cake for a birthday celebration from Lago Bakery. Everyone who ate it had the same reaction - this was a damn good cake. The custard was smooth, the sponge cake was moist and the whipped cream was so, so fresh. It was a completely satisfying experience.
If you haven’t tried this bakery, you should.

Absolutely love Lago Italian Bakery! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The selection is fantastic – from delicious pastries and breads to custom cakes and an authentic Italian hot table. The espresso and gelato are the perfect pairing for any treat! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love and expertise. This place is a true gem in Richmond Hill, and I can’t recommend it enough. A must-visit for anyone who loves quality Italian baked goods!

Cakes and pastries were excellent prior to Covid. Since then the cakes and pastries are all across the board dry. We tried everything and it’s all dry. Quality has definitely declined.
My son’s favourite place to get his veal sandwich. Very friendly place.
Lovely little place

They made our engagement cake. I wanted simple but elegant, only choosing red writing. Our baker kept it elegant but made little heart decorations with white icing that were subtle but a beautiful touch! Their prices were great compared to other quotes we got. Thank you!

Fabulous store. It has a lot of great Italian foods and friendly service. Smells fantasic when you walk in, and their bread is always nice and fresh. I'm in there several times a month, and the service has been outstanding.
Parking: It's in a strip mall (corner store), and parking is limited, especially around lunchtime. Otherwise, it's not bad. There is a handicapped parking spot right in front of the bakery.

Awesome little bakery, my Nonna sends me here for pastries whenever we are going to have family over. If you want the best stuff, show up early (much like any fresh food spot) or order ahead. Can be pricey depending what you are getting, but honestly, I'd rather pay a little extra to a local business than some chain... and quality has been top-notch every time I've gotten food here.

Atmosphere is tiny; no space. Baked goods are all old. I spend around $30.00 for mixed items including different cookies, sliced cakes and danishes and was annoyed to compare it to other bakeries that had fresh items. Its hard enough to waste your money but here the items weren't up to par with stale at least (4 to 5 day old) items which I wouldn't even price if HALF-PRICED. Also, I witnessed a few times how Rude the Obese owner is. He's yelled a few times to customers who only brought something to his attention and he became very combative and belligerent....and the fact that other customers were in the store, didn't seem to mind him as he berated and yelled at them right in front of others. I won't be coming back here again as the products aren't worth the money and i'd hate to bring it to his attention as he'd do the same and I might end up punching his FACE!!

Worst veal sandwich I've ever had in my life! Was literally dripping oil! Zero flavor! Don't waste your time and money absolute GARBAGE!!!!!!!
Me and my friend dropped by here as we were close in the area and have been here several times over the passed 3 yrs when the quality of food was better...Since it was 2:50pm and I didn't want to cook lunch for my teen the following day, I inquired about the lunch special and was told by a spanish young teen server at the hot table which barely had nothing that the leftover chicken parmagiana was $7.99 for a small serving. She said it came with 2 sides howevr they only had broccoli as a side and peppers + onions as another so I told her to double up which she did and since the price was reasonable, we got another of the same along with some pastries...When we proceeded to CASH OUT, this old Fat arrogant OWNER/COOK charged us $16.99 each and my friend questioned it stating your staff said $7.99 and he got very DEFENSIVE with a belligerent voice yelling, "Come on now, are you crazy, how can chicken parmagiana be $7.99. I heard his screaming voice all the way from the bread area and so I walked to him and told him the same, the young latina girl said it was $7.99 and he was very arrogant with such an undermining and GHETTO VOICE like we lived in the mountains telling me that my friend was yelling when it was in fact him! His demeanor caused me to also raise my voice and tell him how unprofessional and defensive he was! So we told him we would just take the cookies which by the way were almost burnt however we couldn't tell from the showcase based on the chocolate drizzle on top. Anyhow, its really ashame and disgusting how arrogant, cockly, and unprofessional he was.... especially how should we know prices when we were told after confirming with me once and with my firned twice that since its end of the day it is $7.99. This owner kept going on and on and on and I should've just cancelled the whole transaction had i known that cookies were burnt. He kept arguing with NO ONE buy himself and even said "PEOPLE JUST WANT TO HEAR WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR" as if we were mentally challenged when its obvious that he shouldn't be in business as he doesn't know the value of having repeat customers and the power of "word of mouth"...which I will make sure PEOPLE KNOW NOT TO BOTHER GOING IN AS NOTHING IS FRESH AND THE OWNER/ COOK/ CASHIER IS EXTREMELY RUDE, ARROGANT, NASTY, AND GHETTO!!!!
