Don’t bother coming here as they most likely will be closed. Came here on two separate occasions in early July and August and they are closed. Thank you for wasting two hours of my time.

I went in for some sfogliatelle and decided to get some tiramisu and was blown away. Their tiramisu was absolutely the best I ever had, and the sfogliatelle was perfect. The crust retains its crunchy for hours and the filling is not too creamy but hold every ingredient perfectly. Had I known the tiramisu portions were smaller I would’ve bought more. These were the best desserts I have had so far. This is such an underrated gem.

Changing my positive review to a 1 star....
My veal sandwich was soggy, oily and tasteless. I showed the manager/owner what was left on my plate after I was unable to eat or enjoy it at all. Completely fell apart. I kindly explained to him it was doused in oil, the bread was all soggy and the veal had zero flavour. I asked for spicy and just got doused in oil with zero heat or flavour. All he did was say sorry we sell tons of sandwiches and people like them and asked if I had ever been before, which I have. He took my plate of barely eaten sandwich away, with no offer to remake it. Just lost a repeat customer because I left hungry with no offer to remake a not soggy, not spicy sandwich.

EDITED TO ADD:
my comment to the lady who made my sandwich was wow, not so much oil please! There was not 3/4 gone from my plate (I should have taken a photo because there was all bun, at least half the veal and a river of oil, plus all the mushrooms and onions that fell out of my soggy bun!!!!) I took about two bites before the entire soggy thing fell apart. The opportunity to make this right was when I was standing with you, with the soggy mess in front of you, kindly explaining my disappointment.

Our favorite local bakery for celebration cakes.
The strawberry shortcake is truly like a cloud- so fresh, filled with strawberries and the cream is perfectly sweet!

Highly recommended

A must visit Italian Bakery at Oak Ridges.
Don’t forget to try Calabrese buns, the spicy buns are also tasty, crispy and fresh.
Overall highly recommended …

Love this local bakery! Such fresh and great breads and pastries. Their hot table is great as well and has a decent selection of food items with good prices.

This place is amazing. One of the best pistachio Square croissants I've ever had.

Lago Italian Bakery is the real deal! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm smell of fresh bread and pastries that instantly makes you feel at home. It’s more than just a bakery — they’ve got a full deli, homemade meals, and pretty much everything Italian under one roof.

The baked goods are top-tier — flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. Their cannoli and biscotti? Chef’s kiss! And the deli? Loaded with authentic meats, cheeses, pastas, and sauces that’ll make any nonna proud.

It’s clear this place is run with heart. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in what they offer. Whether you're grabbing lunch, stocking up on Italian staples, or just want something sweet, this is the place.

Everybody loves Lago — and now I do too. Definitely a spot you’ll want to keep coming back to!

Had Lago make my wedding cake. They did a fabulous job! Super accommodating using some decor pieces I already had and were very flexible with picking up. The cake turned out amazing, so many guests complimented how great it was. Very reasonably priced for how much we got.

Picked up an Italian Rum cake for a birthday celebration from Lago Bakery. Everyone who ate it had the same reaction - this was a damn good cake. The custard was smooth, the sponge cake was moist and the whipped cream was so, so fresh. It was a completely satisfying experience.

If you haven’t tried this bakery, you should.
