My family and I have been coming to this place for the last 10 years , by far the most consistent sushi restaurant in the GTA, great service, great atmosphere and most importantly, the best sushi.
Rachel is also a terrific waitress,

We recently dined at this Japanese restaurant. The food was fine, but our experience was ruined when our waitress actually ran outside after we left to tell us we did not leave a tip and demanded 15% — even though we had already paid extra. This was very unprofessional and made us feel pressured and uncomfortable.
I’ve worked part-time as a waiter myself, so I understand how frustrating it can be when customers leave a mess and don’t tip. But tipping is optional, not mandatory. Here in Canada, tipping is a choice, not an obligation, and it should be earned through good service — not demanded after the fact.
What makes this even more surprising is that in Japan, tipping is not even part of the culture. Respect and hospitality come first — and customers are never pressured to pay extra.
Restaurants should respect their guests and provide good service without expecting forced gratuities. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we do not feel welcome returning.
