I went in on a whim looking for something specific. I was told they could make it fresh for me if I came back the next day. They were so accommodating and so friendly. I went the next day and there was not had my order as promised. I picked up a meal to go with it. Lots of food and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be going back.

3 stars Dinner at Momtaz Bakery
I stopped by Momtaz Bakery for dinner and tried the koobideh, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations. Given how many great Persian spots there are in Richmond Hill, I was hoping for something more flavorful and fresh.
The koobideh lacked the tenderness and seasoning I was looking for. I also heard the microwave go off in the back, which made me wonder if the food had been reheated, as it didn’t have that fresh, cooked-to-order quality.
That said, the service was friendly, and I suspect the bakery is where they really shine. I’ll be back to try the baked goods, but I think with a little more focus on the restaurant side, they could really improve the overall experience. There’s definitely potential here.

This a hidden gem. It’s a small Persian grocery store but they have fresh breads and hot plate items which beat many others in the area. Chiloo kebab is a must try!! This is our new favourite Persian spot. You can eat in as well nothing super fancy though. Highly recommend that you try it!

The food prices are great and affordable and prices for everything else they sell in the store, like breads and drinks, etc, that they sell in the store are also great and affordable. Their seating area is small, which is ok, but it looks like an afterthought. I wish their seating area was better organized with cozier chairs.
