Unfortunately, my experience at this Persian restaurant was very disappointing. The food quality has gone down significantly. I would rate it 3 stars at best. The kebab was chewy and lacked the tenderness you’d expect from a well prepared Persian grill, and the rice didn’t taste authentic Persian style at all, which really took away from the meal.
The service was not good, very slow and inattentive. I would give the service only 1 star, as it felt like we were left waiting far too long without proper attention. I would say 5 star for fresh bread.. it was the best bread..
Overall, I had high hopes but left very unsatisfied. Definitely not the quality or experience I expect from a Persian restaurant.

I’ve been a customer of Naeb Restaurant in Richmond Hill for about 4 years. The quality of food has always been great, but unfortunately, the customer service was often unfriendly. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised—not only was the food excellent as always, but I also received friendly and professional service from Amir Hossein. He was welcoming, polite, and always greeted us with a smile.

I made an order on ubereats and there was a small mix up with my order. The description for one of the items wasn’t accurate (the fries in the gheymeh were missing). The restaurant went above and beyond to make it right: they personally hand delivered the missing fries and even included a zeytun parvarde as a thoughtful apology gift. Maust-o-bornai, fesenjan and gheimeh were delicious, very refreshing and great texture and bold flavours :)

We tried the Soltani, Kobideh, and Vaziri dishes, along with Zeytoon Parvardeh and Kashke Bademjoon as entrées. The starters were the highlight—flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the mains were a bit disappointing: the Barg was chewy and tough, and the Kobideh lacked tenderness. The chicken was decent but nothing outstanding.
Service could have been better—the staff were not very attentive, and the music was quite loud and somber, creating an atmosphere that didn’t feel right for dining. To their credit, when we asked, they did change the music. Overall, some good flavors but the experience fell short of expectations.

Chenjeh kebob at Naeb is tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous. Kebob was perfectly grilled. Definitely a must-try if you’re craving authentic Persian kebob!

Although the customer service was great, the food, specifically Kebob, was uncooked, very thick and you could see the pink raw meat inside. I used to have lots of takeouts from this restaurant, unfortunately I will have to stop now since the quality went down drastically! I hope they consider this as a feedback and we will order good food again from them!
