We decided to come here for dim sum since it was only a few blocks away from our hotel and they open at 9 am. This restaurant had a different structure vs. New York dim sum- to order food, you check off different items on a list versus the traditional rolling carts. The pros are that all foods are available- made to order, the quick turnaround time to come out, and the portion size of each dish is huge (not what we're used to). The cons are that once you order, you can not change your mind or cancel it, the flavor of some dishes isn't up to par and the price is quite expensive. They charge for the tea and the pot of hot water (kids tea), which we didn't drink because it was too bitter. A 12% service charge is automatically added to your bill. The taste of all the dim sum just wasn't good- they were bland- smh, chewy, or nasty (almonds around the fried shrimp balls were stale and too much celery & chives in the chaozhou dumplings). The har gow and pan-fried dumplings were probably the best dishes. The staff weren't very friendly either. If you're craving good dim sum, I would try locations closer to Chinatown for a better experience- skip this one.

Loved this place long even before the renovations and came back recently for brunch. Still the same people running it and some old staff. Fantastic dim sum and great service. No wait or lineup for Sunday brunch but that’ll soon change once word gets out. Like the new updates they made. Lots of extra staff for dimsum ?

Used to frequent Richmond Court all the time but this is the first time we have been back since the renovations were finished a couple of months ago after they were a target of arson. The restaurant got a major glow up. There are two private rooms now, new decor, bathrooms, front entrance, etc. it looks really nice.Service is ok. A little on the slower end for a Chinese restaurant. David the manager is good. Loved all the dishes except the rice noodle and sticky rice which had a smoky burnt taste we were not a fan of.Complementary dessert at the end of the meal was a nice touch. If you’re looking for the casual atmosphere and old menu from before it’s no longer available. There’s a whole new menu and the prices have gone up compared to before. The bakery is gone and so is the BBQ meat take out area. The vibes of the place is completely different now. We enjoyed our dinner but do miss the comfort food and casual atmosphere from before.

We went there on a Saturday around 1pm and got seats pretty quickly. The food was served dim sum style, so our orders arrived quickly. I particularly enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and chicken feet for their delicious flavors. The congee was also excellent. One downside was that the ambiance was quite noisy so bare that in mind. Overall, pretty convenient place for quick Chinese food.

First visit after the unfortunate arson attack last year (Sep 2023). The whole restaurant has been renovated, the menu has been completely revamped into Dim Sum and Cantonese food style. You can totally see the clientele is different, mostly older people and seniors. We really miss the old Richmond Court that offers wide variety of food choices, Hong Kong style dishes with wide range of drinks, Asian bakery items, etc. Hope the restaurant can consider bring it back. Note, they accept credit card payment.==============================Open late, and lots of food choice!???

I came here a long time ago where the furniture and tables were old. I didn't know they had a fire in 2023 until my friend told me. We were looking for a place and we thought, why not? Ambiance - 5/5: We were pleasantly surprised at the renovations. They have a lot of different koi fish paintings. It looks like a fancy Chinese restaurant now. The front is nice and bright. They even have a private room. We went on a weekday night so there weren't a lot of customers. We saw a few large groups though. Service - 5/5: they sat us pretty quickly. We only wanted hot water. They even poured it out for us. They even served us the noodles when it came. We asked them questions about their dimsum menu and how much their king crabs costed per pound. They were very patient with our questions. Food - 3.5/5: we ordered the mushroom braised e-fu noodles and the honey garlic beef cubes. I think the price has gone up after the renovations. The honey garlic beef were quite tender. There is a lot of onions and red and green bell peppers. I just find it a little small. The e-fu noodles were ok, lacked some flavour. The mushrooms had a nice texture to them Overall - 4/5: pleasantly surprised. I would not mind coming with my family in the future

My family and friends used to come here every week or so when it used to be a cafe. Now it's a full restaurant and it has a fancy feel to it. Chairs are comfy, the tables are new including the cloths. Their prices have absolutely gone up to par with other Chinese restaurants. The menu is quite different now and they don't offer any "cafe-like" food. The server will set up the food for you on the table once it arrives. Definitely different from other restaurants. Usually soup is served on the bowls, not the other food items. I would come here on an occasion rather than on a random day.

After the infamous arson incident in late 2023, we had to come to see the new RC. RC is a restaurant now. We had dim sum. The decoration and ambiance was pleasant. The services was courteous, effective and efficient. Food portion was good, but the food quality was average. I chalked it up as growing pain. Keep going, Richmond Court. I cheered for you when you were a HK cafe, I am cheering for you now.

The skin of the shrimp intestines is relatively thick, the barbecued pork is not crispy, and the fresh bamboo rolls are too oily.Overall dim sum is so so

Richmond Court Restaurant is newly renovated and re-open as fine dining restaurant since January 15, 2024. Early bird morning dim sum SML size at 5.28, very competitive pricing in Richmond Hill area. Pineapple BBQ pork bun was crispy and delicious. Please note service charge of 12% automatically added to the final bills, no more guessing. I would go there again.
