Richmond Hill Deli - who knew what treasures lay within? While in the neighbourhood one Saturday morning, my curiosity was piqued by the outdoor pictures of culinary delights, outlined in red, declaring: "Healthy and Tasty", "Homemade with Love". Once inside, I was greeted with a panorama of products from Eastern Europe and Central Asia - including my favourites:
• Plov (Uzbek-style rice pilaf), • Samsa (Uzbek samosas with beef/lamb filling), • Khachapuri (Georgian cheese-filled "pizza"), • Pelmeni (Russian meat dumplings of various fillings - I like the turkey and lamb pelmeni), • Lülə Kebabs (minced meat kebabs from South Kavkaz), • Kefir/Ryazhenka (similar to yougurts), • various Mineral Waters, ... and the list goes on.
I had the good fortune to meet the owner, Alik, who welcomed me to his store as if to his own table. The staff at the hot food counter were warm and hospitable. To experience the world of Eastern European and Central Asian delicacies, this is the place to come to.
The only thing missing was my most favourite item of all - Chebureki (deep-fried turnovers of Crimean Tatar origin), ideally the lamb-filled variety, but the spinach/cheese ones are okay too. If Richmond Hill Deli could stock these, my joy would be complete.
As the can of Uzbek Plov said on its label: "Вкусно - нет слов" ("Tasty - no words".)

Help your delivery guy, maybe cut a 4x4 so your delivery door can be held open. You guys seem ignorant and arrogant.
Staff just left a shopping cart in the walkway.
Safe to say the people that come here are also ignorant and arrogant.
Even better their open sign isnt even turned on.

I recently visited Richmond Hill Deli Store and I must say, it was a great experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread. The variety of sweet goods and cakes is amazing and you can tell they prioritize quality and freshness.
The salads , soups and prepared foods are simply delicious. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the portions are generous. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or planning a meal, the selection is sure to satisfy any craving.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to make recommendations. Their customer service really good.

A great gem in Richmond hill, they have a great variety of eastern European food and products from Israel which are hard to find elsewhere. I highly recommend their prepared food section for the days you can’t cook at home or when hosting. They are always kind and a family based business which are hard to find these days. Highly recommend you check it out for their specialty products and food!

Lots of delays, lazy and arrogant staff! It feels like a general store. Apparently, pensioners have nowhere else to go to work. Sometimes you can find fresh goods. Not far at all, there is a yummy. I recommend visiting this store as a last resort.

I recently discovered this fantastic European deli store, and I couldn't be more impressed! The selection of fresh, homemade-style food is truly exceptional. From my favourite blinchiki and sirniki to the impressive variety of soups, salads, and cold cuts, there's something for everyone here.
The fish and meat options are top-notch, and the array of sweets, cakes, and desserts is simply irresistible. The friendly and attentive staff add to the wonderful experience, always ready to help and make recommendations.
If you're looking for a taste of Europe, this deli is the place to go. Highly recommend!
As the person who usually writes only 5* reviews, that one is outstanding.. I was their customer for 2+years and even with miltiple cases of "mishaps" like expired food, not so fresh prepared food (however they always assure"it is freshly made!' and then at home you sent it to garbage), mistmatching prices (which you may only discover at home) but the last case when I purhcased candies with a live worm inside !! and I asked for the compensation for the bill which was only 50$!! and it was rejected and was not even offered "sorry".
I would rather drive 5 min to Longos which has always fresh food and great customer service. Avoid like plaque if you can!!
