Royaltea (Hillcrest Mall)

Asked the wife to stop in and get us a bubble tea, this was the only real option in this mall. We regretted it.

Sure the price is high, most are these days, but this place is a waste of money.

The flavours seemed fine when reading the menu, but when they got home and my strawberry bubble tea had whole lemon and lime slices in it. It's was so sour that I had to add tons of honey to even try finishing it. The tea itself was pretty bitter and not worth $2, let alone the small fortune this cost.

My wife had a galaxy mango bubble tea and the drink came with large black seeds. I don't recall mangoes having seeds and these were definitely not tapioca bubbles. These seeds were way too big to drink safely.

We had to strain and fix both drinks at home to get some worth out of it. A waste of time and money.

Everyone was incredibly nice and went out of their way to provide excellent service. The rose tteokbokki was the best I’ve had in a while! Easy five stars. The owner was so sweet and kind!

I recently visited Royaltea at Hillcrest Mall, and overall, the experience was pretty underwhelming. One of the main issues I had was with the ordering process. Everything was self-service, and there was hardly any interaction with the staff. It felt odd seeing staff around, but none of them actively helping or assisting customers, which made the experience feel impersonal.

As for the bubble tea, it was decent—nothing particularly special, but not terrible either. The service, however, was slower than I expected. I was hoping for a quicker turnaround, especially in a busy mall setting. All in all, it wasn’t the worst, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

i love this store so much! their rice cakes are the best and i always come during
my lunch break for some and their bubble teas are amazing. i’m drinking one while writing this down right now too but they go above and beyond with their food and they have really good portions too. i would recommend! come and look for sophia <3

RoyalTea has some of the best bubble tea and I have been to many. I usually get the mango-coconut slushie with mousse and tapioca. The owner is there sometimes and she is really nice and always remembers what I like. Would definitely recommend it!

Amazing staffs, especially the owner. She is the nicest one who tries to bring quality to the food industry. Japanese bagels are awesome. Can’t wait to see them in the menu.
