Stopped in this restaurant by chance. Great food, thai and vietnamese. Pad Thai was excellent, and beef brisket vermicelli bowl was tastey. Service was very friendly and attentive even in their busy time. Food was delivered quickly and hot. You won't regret coming here for an asian dinner. Saigon StarThis restaurant has been here for as long as I can remember. It’s been a staple at the plaza. I came here for dinner on a weekend around 6pm. The restaurant was not busy but had multiple large tables. Based on the friendly conversations, a lot of people were regulars at the restaurant. This is a positive sign that their food, service, and reputation must be good. The menu was a mix of multiple Asian cuisines from Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Malaysian.I ordered the Mango salad and Laksa soup noodles. The mango salad was quite disappointing. It was a small Vietnamese salad with a few thin slices of mango on top. I get the sense no one orders this and they had to make due in the back kitchen. The Laksa soup noodle was more authentic. Hearty soup, noodles, and seafood. I noticed that most people ordered the curry crab, so perhaps they are known for their curry sauce.
we've tried almost everything except the curry crab. Very low or no MSG at all, the soup in raw beef noodle is wonderful.

Loved our meal at Saigon Star. Bustling atmosphere, attentive service, and really delicious, flavorful dishes. We ordered the Valentine’s Day fixed price menu and it was amazing value, but we’d gladly return to order a la carte as well. You must get the curried crab if you’re here, and order roti to sop up all the amazing curry sauce.
