It should open at 8:00am. I was there at 8:19am last Thursday. The door was still locked. But there was a lady working in the restaurant. So I knocked at the door. She kept ignoring me just like that she didn’t know that I was outside. I kept on knocking for a couple of minutes still was ignored.
I will never go there again.

We have been going to Scrumptious for years - a true neighbourhood gem! The food is consistently good (we like the Montreal smoked meat eggs benny and the big breakfast in particular). The staff are kind and especially friendly to kids, even remembering how they like to personalize their orders! They are also very accommodating to groups. Our go-to breakfast/brunch spot.

First time here. Hoping this place is better than Big Daddy's down the street! Place is bright inside but still a bit smaller. I can see during busy times this place might be full and there may be a wait. Only 1 main guy handling front of house including order taking, serving and bussing. Looks like 2 people working the back of house and grill. Definitely a family run Chinese business here. Food was ok. I had the scrumptburger. Frozen patties used here, wish it was fresh instead. Main guy didn't come check in us after the food came and we had to ask for more coffee. So a bit of a miss on the service part here. Prices are regular really and the food is just meh really. Overall, ill probably come back as its definitely better than the neighboring Big Daddy's and i want to try the breakfast items for a more detailed food review. I'll probably still recommend this place to those in the area looking for some breakfast.

Service was a bit hard to get ahold of. The food was pretty decent. Portions are average but the prices are quite good.
Dirty restaurant. Staff was not interested in clearing off tables for new customers. She said she was busy, except the restaurant was not full, maybe a handful of people. Seemed more like laziness and like she didn’t want to work. We weren’t even approached. So, we left.

We eat at many breakfast places all over Durham and York region. We tried scrumptious for the first time today. I had the Montreal smoked meat hash and let me tell you, it was amazing! Very fresh. Service was excellent, coffee was fresh and the place was clean. Top 10 for me for sure! Highly recommend!
