Shudaxia Hotpot | 蜀大侠火锅

First time coming to this place. We were welcomed by the inviting decoration. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Chinese lanterns hanging on the ceiling.

They recommended ordering the two flavour soup base. We chose one non-spicy and one mild spicy.

You scan the code on the table and order online. Most items are free, expect for a few cost extra. Unlimited drinks with an extra cost per person ($5.99)

From time to time, they would come refill the soup, not with water, but the actual soup base itself. You can get your own condiments (free).

Overall, it was a nice experience, although seating was bit uncomfortable because they were wooden benches.

The service is not good. There are only a few waiters. No chopsticks, no water, no cups. You have to ask for each one separately. The ingredients are not fresh.

Very disappointing experience. The staff turned off the stove while we were still eating, without any reminder. If closing time was near, they should have given us a heads-up instead of rushing us like this. Poor service!

I will never be here for any dinner.

The service here was amazing. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. It is more meat concentrated type of hot pot place, not as much veggies as the typical hot pot places. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely go back again!

AYCE hot pot but you don't get everything that you order and it takes way too long to get it. Long periods where our party of 8 just sat around waiting for food to come and reordering.

Reordering made no difference and they then choose to either give you the last or recent order so made it hard for us to track as well. Also, the ice cream machine stopped working and the other dessert they did have, a tapioca soup, was quite bad and lacked flavour.

Food (especially beef) quality is just average, if not slightly below. I do like the decor w all the lanterns but for the price (around 50 per), you could go to any other AYCE and get better food and service.

The dishes on the reserved menu should be all-you-can-eat for others, but they were not provided or notified, and no one took the initiative to provide service after placing the order. The dishes did not arrive, so we informed them, but they asked us to order again ourselves to see if the dishes arrived, but nothing was resolved.
In addition, because we didn’t bring enough cash, the tip was not enough for 15%. The clerk was immediately angry and reminded us to leave an insufficient tip. Tipping depends on service attitude and service quality, not necessarily. We will not eat at this store again.

The food was decent but they don’t have as much selection as other hot pots in the area despite costing as much. The service was also mid. They also didn’t bring half the things we ordered and they said it was because of an error in their machine. Better to go to Haidilao or Liuyishou nearby.

They managed to serve only half of my order every time when I order something. For my first order I ordered 5 beef rolls and somehow they managed to serve one..😅😂😂😂I originally thought it was a mistake but then I tried to order more and it turns out they still served half of it. I have no words but I’m pretty sure that is not how a proper business works.

It turns out that Shu Daxia also has spicy hotpot and spicy dry pot. Today I tried the spicy pickled cabbage flavor, which was very good. However, the lotus root slices felt a bit over-oxidized, but the taste was still good. PS: The service in this store is really good and attentive. When I saw that I ran out of paper towels, I immediately asked if I needed more paper towels. The details were really well done. I will always support you.

After eating with a friend, the two of us had diarrhea for two days and couldn't stop it. The butter at the bottom of the pot looked very cloudy. The oil is definitely not healthy.
