Horrendous experience! Got the three item special and chose noodles, beef, lemon chicken and general Tao chicken. Everything looked bad and all was room temperature at best. The fried items had so much old oil and full of hard batter. I had a stomach ache after eating there, and vomited as soon as I got home. Will never trust that place again!!!

I got the 2 meat and rice end of day sale so this might have affected the quality I got. They didnt give a lot as well. The meats and rice I got were a bit dry and stale.

Awful. No chicken in the honey chicken or lemon chicken. Only batter. Noodles were dry and smelled bad. I asked about the mango Boba and she poured milk tea with mango pearls (not what was on the menu) before I could say whether I wanted it or not. I paid for it, took one sip and threw it out. Disgusting. Will never eat here again.

After they cleverly reduced their food portions from the any three items, 'end of day special' to what is now, any two items, you'd think they'd be generous with your two chosen food items. Uh yeah, think again! - they are cheaper than ever before!! To add insult to injury, they have disgusting service and very rude staff. They should be ashamed of their behaviour... it does not align with the values of Canada. Thankfully, they've lost the majority of my business. For only a few bucks more, if you look through the food court, you can get a fresh cooked meal with much better portion sizes. Very dissapointed in Szechuan Express!

“We had such a great experience at Szechuan Express! We ordered a variety of chicken and beef dishes with different flavors, and every single one of them was delicious and well-prepared. The portions were generous and full of flavor, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. What really stood out was the service – the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and very helpful in guiding us to choose the best dishes based on what we liked. They made us feel very welcome, and their positive attitude made the whole experience even better. Overall, both the food and the customer service exceeded our expectations. Definitely a place we’ll come back to and recommend to others!”
Today at the Hillcrest Mall food court, we decided to have lunch at Szechuan Express. Initially, we planned to choose Combo 3, but we wanted to try a sample of one of the spicy meat options to check how spicy it was. We specifically asked for a sample of just that one item, not all the meats. However, the staff member told us that they don’t offer samples at all, which we found very disappointing and a sign of poor customer service.
Despite this, we went ahead and ordered the food to try it for future reference. Unfortunately, towards the end of our meal, we noticed a small hair on one of the onions, which was extremely unpleasant and disappointing.
Overall, I would give this restaurant a 1-star rating due to its lack of customer care and low food quality. I will not be ordering food from here again.

Got the end of day special (didn’t realize they are offering it until the lady told me while ordering). I ordered the three chicken items they offer and all were very bad. Tasteless, super over fried and full of oil. Not a pleasant experience.
