TAKI Japanese Cuisine

Had lunch today at this establishment. Ordered the lunch set with tempura. Very impressed with the quality of food & service received. Appetizers full of omami flavour; sashimi tasted very fresh and well prepared - favourite piece for me would be the Madai; sushi very well prepared - rice flavour well balanced, each pieces is paired with its unique sauce and spice. Hard to pick one as I loved all of them. I will 100% revisit this restaurant for maybe dinner next time. Absolutely delicious and great service. Chef is also very friendly!

We were having the best dinner ever at this restaurant. They're so cute and the omakase is 10/10 , so delicious

The ingredients are fresh and well picked, no matter the fish or vegetables. The chef is sweet when he noticed that I am the left-handed and change the direction of the sushi, so I could pick them up easily. Definitely will visit again and bring my lovely friends and family to enjoy it.

The waiter didn't serve dishes from the sides but kept coming in from the middle to distribute food to the two of us. While my friend and I were chatting, she would take away the plates or bring in new ones, always from the middle. She interrupted us at least four or five times. It really affected our dining experience. Who would want to be interrupted countless times while having a meal and chatting? I was so angry that I couldn't eat. Later, when she took the plates from the sides, it showed that she could have done it without disturbing us in the first place. It was obvious that she forced her way between the two and placed the food in front of me. She kept interrupting from the middle just to save herself the trouble of serving. Was it so hard or tiring to place the appetizers or drinks on the sides from both ends? Couldn't she take an extra step? Didn't she notice that the guests were talking? She interrupted countless times. Maybe I'm paying too much attention to details, but in such a situation, it was hard to eat or talk normally. It was extremely bad service. Very few people have made me this angry.

There are more Omakase in the area. Picked this one and tried their lunch Omakase. Food, service and atmosphere are all pretty good. Will definitely return to try the other items next time

I usually prefer downtown restaurants, but this is the one sushi spot in Richmond Hill that I absolutely love to visit!
The quality is consistently excellent, and the service is always exceptional. A true gem in the heart of Richmond Hill!

What a treat. Taki was impressive from the moment we stepped into the restaurant until the last bite of food. Service was impeccable, the staff was friendly, informative and let's just say my tea cup was never empty. We ordered their Omakase special and I am so happy we did. Each bite of the course was like bringing me back to Japan. Even dishes in not typically a big fan of (squid sushi) was elevated. The soup course ( Japanese clear soup) was so flavourful. Each bite of the 10 PC's sushi course was so sublime, the toro was a fan fave, we went back and ordered extra. Not traditional but I ordered an extra foie gras sushi and so happy that I did. Even the dessert was sooo good. The matcha, caramel pudding wasn't sweet at all but all flavour. We are definitely coming back and I highly recommend to try great aushi

Amazing! My new favourite omakase place. Beats out Zen, Aoyama and Tosei Ryoriten. Chef Taki is superb with his food (esp sushi) and attention to detail. Been 3 times in the past few weeks and will be back for more.
