TAKI JAPANESE CUISINE . . I was searching up omakase spots uptown and decided to try Taki for my birthday dinner. As soon as you step into the restaurant, it feels like you have been transported to Japan. We were greeted immediately and brought to the omakase room where we sat in front of the sushi chef. They have a $95 omakase dinner special which is the one we opted for. . $95 Omakase Dinner Special Appetizer set Osumashi soup Salmon Carpaccio Mushimomo 8pcs of sushi Hand roll (1) Umaki Dessert - Green tea pudding . . Everything was delicious, but the Toro sushi and green tea pudding dessert stood out the most. The texture and flavours were out of this world. Service was great. Our tea cups were never empty and dishes were brought out and cleared in a timely manner. We had a lovely time.

Best omakase I’ve had in the markham richmond hill area even competes with any sushi restaurant in the gta. Chef taki is incredible and understands how to combine flavours to bring out the best tasting experience you could ask for. Will definitely be going back regularly.

Impromptu date night and found Taki on a whim and so glad we did. Everything was amazing. We did omakase and ordered the Yuzu sake. It was fantastic. Service was amazing and we had a great time chatting with the chef and waitress. So glad to have found this gem!

I had a great experience at Taki yesterday. The food quality and the hospitality were excellent. Unlike other Omakase restaurant, Taki gave me warm and comfortable but elegant atmosphere. Since We were the only omakase customers until almost the end of our dinner, sitting was very spacious. The waitress/hostess were very attentive always with a smile on the face. Chef Takinami was patient and friendly. He explained each sushi to us in detail, never rush.I deducted one star because the temperature at the restaurant was way too warm. Not sure how other customers could have stand for it. lolOverall me and my daughter had a great time at Taki. I look forward to go back again to try other menu item.

I came here for Valentine's Day lunch omakase and ordered the sashimi sushi selection from the menu. The sashimi and sushi were really fresh! The waitresses were super kind and the restaurant has a traditional Japanese feel to it. The price is pretty cheap at $55 per person for lunch omakase especially when the food is good quality! I will definitely come back again!

I've been fortunate to have experienced my fair share of tasting menu meals, and this is probably one of the better ones in the area. We visited on a weeknight and were the only table at the sushi bar, as the rest of the customers were doing their sukiyaki option.The chef was patient, methodical, and friendly, and the waitresses were very attentive and hospitable too. I won't go into the nuances of the omakase, but there were a few unique combinations and flavours that I haven't had before and stood out to me.Taki is not cheap, but given the range of options available in the area, I think it fills it's own niche in terms of service, pricing, quality, offerings, and experience. I look forward to being able to come back.

Had the lunch omakase with my sister around Christmas. The atmosphere is great - love the design choices made by the owners. You can really tell that the sushi chef enjoys his craft, very engaging to watch him prepare the courses in front of you. The staff were superb, very attentive and nice! Would come again to enjoy some sushi or try their sukiyaki!
