Very good and attentive service in a very cozy restaurant with great atmosphere. The food was great but portions were a bit on the smaller side for the price. The nori tacos were innovative with the tempura fried nori, and the fresh salmon one tasted great! The wasabi bacon pasta was creamy but the acidic element added was a bit too much and was therefore, jarring. The sukiyaki beef pasta was delicious and a bit on the sweet side. Overall, a solid restaurant.

This place reminded me of Hay sushi on Yonge street, but a knockoff version. The sushi and sashimi are not fresh and the meat is very thin. The yuzu sushi is too oily, leaving the oil flooding on the plate. The taco is ok but i prefer Hay sushi’s, more options and tastes better. The rolls are mediocre. The rose cream pasta is way too sweet like a dessert. The server missed my order and seemed don’t understand what i said, then gave me side eye. Thats RUDE! Personally I won't recommend. If you want a better option, i would recommend Hay sushi, J san.

Secondly, the sushi rice lacked moisture and flavor, making it dry and unappetizing compared to other Japanese sushi places I have tried. Overall, my experience at The Flying Fish did not meet my expectations, and I would suggest exploring other options for a better sushi dining experience.
