This is hands down not only one of the best omakase in York Region, it's probably one of the best in the GTA. It's affordable and absolutely delicious.

Cozy, low-key spot on Major Mac with an intimate omakase counter—definitely reserve ahead. Fish is fresh, rice and seasoning are well balanced, and service/pacing are calm and attentive. A solid, no-hype choice when you want straightforward, well-executed sushi.

This is my go-to sushi place in the area, the fish is very fresh and the service is great. My go to order is the sushi course, a little pricey but so worth it. The only small problem Is that when there are many people at the sushi bar, service tends to be a bit slower. Thats a minor inconvenience when compared to the magnificent meal.

Went here for an anniversary with my partner! One of the best Omakases we’ve had since we went to Japan. The staff was super friendly and the food was super fresh. The only comment I have is that there were a few flies flying around the restaurant. Aside from that, everything else was perfect :)

Looking forward to coming back again

Having been to Japan many times, I can say this place is about as authentic as it gets. Fresh fish, careful preparation, and a calm, traditional atmosphere — exactly what you’d expect from a real Japanese restaurant. I noticed some negative reviews, but maybe they come from people expecting an “all-you-can-eat” style place. This is not that. It’s about quality, not quantity, and if you appreciate true Japanese cuisine, you’ll love it here.

Our go-to Japanese restaurant when we crave for good omakase sushi! Always fresh and their fra gois sushi is the best (and evil!) Book at the sushi bar if possible for best experience.

Disappointing Experience – Not What We Expected from a “Traditional Japanese” Restaurant

My friend and I recently visited this restaurant, which came recommended by a Japanese friend. It’s heavily advertised as an authentic and traditional Japanese restaurant, so we were excited to try it.

However, we were surprised to discover that the sushi roll maker was a Cantonese speaker. This is not about judging anyone based on language or background—but when a place markets itself as “original Japanese,” it’s fair to expect that the experience aligns with that image.

Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. The waiter made a mistake with my friend’s order and refused to acknowledge the error, instead suggesting it was our fault. Later, while we were still finishing dessert, the waiter abruptly brought us the bill—without us asking for it. Meanwhile, other customers were still sitting and chatting well past their meals, undisturbed. It felt like we were being pushed out, and we couldn’t understand why.

To make matters worse, we noticed the staff warmly thanked and greeted other customers as they left, but not us. The contrast in treatment was very noticeable and made the experience feel even more uncomfortable.

We won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to others. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience, both in terms of service and atmosphere.

Save your time and money—there are far better places to enjoy Japanese cuisine with the respect and hospitality that should come with it.

Authentic Japanese restaurant, one of our favourites in the area. The sushi and tempura are excellent, and they offer nice lunch specials during the week.

Tokyo and Osaka-level Japanese cuisine, at last! Ordered Toshi course $95 (5 stars) and salmon teriyaki-dinner $33. The chef is Japanese and was very amiable upon entering the restaurant. The same could be said for the attentive waitress. It was around 8pm on a Monday so it was rather quiet. The quality of food in combination with the price point deserves a full house.
