Great food, the staff were kind and food arrived quickly . The menu was huge with loads of great options. seating was comfortable I recommend their crispy salmon dynamite roll. IT IS A MUST!
This place absolutely deserves 5 stars! The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful — each piece was prepared with such care and precision. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and the variety on the menu was impressive. Not only was the food amazing, but the atmosphere of the restaurant made the whole experience even better. It was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had a calm, welcoming vibe. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which added to the overall great impression. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves sushi.
The host put us in a booth near the back by the washroom and then we were forgotten, and no waiter ever came to us until we went out to grab a waiter. The waiter took our order then again we never saw them again, no water, no tea, no appetizers, nothing. After about 25 minutes we again went to grab a waiter, they brought us the tea, water, soup, salad and sushi all together. It was very unpleasant waiting so long for the food and drinks then getting it all at once.
The table took up too much room in the booth, it was difficult to get around the table to sit down.
After we left the restaurant and got home we both had to run to the washroom.
I will never go to this restaurant again.
Absolutely one of the best, freshest sushi restaurants in the city! Top notch! Try the tuna tower, you won't regret it.
One of my favorite spots for sushi. The staff and chefs are super nice and friendly, always made me feel welcome like coming home! Sashimi here is always so fresh looking, each piece is sparkling. I love all the roe sushi, squid sashimi, lobster roll is a must try, and spicy seafood udon is also just perfect. Must try!
The best spicy salmon rolls (- :
Very cozy experience ,great staff and very fresh variety of food !
The restaurant has a very medium decoration, with some pods or cabins next to the window. They provide some privacy but too much sunlight and almost no air flow makes them extremely inconvenient for the guests seated there. Service was not excellent either, the sushi was fresh.
The food was great. Chirashi Don was full of assorted fish everything was fresh and tasty. The service started off great, with very friendly servers. It got busy, and the servers were quickly overwhelmed to the point that we didn't see them at our table again. 45 min after we finished eating, we flagged a server for the bill.
Unome Sushi is a hidden gem! The quality of the fish is always fresh, and the presentation is top-notch. Every dish feels carefully crafted—from the classic rolls to their more creative specials. The service is warm and attentive, and the vibe is cozy without being cramped. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just dipping your toes into Japanese cuisine, Unome Sushi is definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a sushi spot that is worth coming back to and never disappoints. The sushi tastes fresh and flavourful and the staff service is excellent. Definitely a top sushi spot in Vaughan that is worth checking!
Great staff! Great Music! Great food! 10/10. The chefs are amazing and craft the best dishes I've ever tasted.
Excellent quality fish. Very fresh. Rolls were amazing.
We decided to try here after reading all the 5-star reviews, but I guess I set my expectation too high. We ordered a Love Boat and a Tempura Udon. The Love Boat was mediocre at best and the sushi pieces were very small. As for the Udon, the soup was really blend as if they forgot a major ingredient, like soy sauce, and the tempura were very inconsistent. For example, the shrimp was overcooked while some of the vegetables were undercooked. The servers were friendly, but they literally never came to check on us. Overall, it wasn’t worth $100. Still, the restaurant was busy and a lot of people must like the place; it just wasn’t for me.
Absolutely my new favourite Japanese restaurant.
