Stopped by Wimpy’s in Richmond Hill with my girlfriend and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the Double Cheese Banquet Burger with a poutine — usually part of a special — and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me, which was a really nice touch.
The burger was loaded, juicy, and cooked perfectly, while the poutine was rich and hearty, pure comfort food done right. On top of the great meal, the place has that classic retro-aesthetic diner vibe, which makes it feel fun and nostalgic while still being warm and welcoming.
Generous portions, friendly staff, and a cool atmosphere, definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
