The seating is very comfortable and modern however the food is really delicious but I would say the price is on the higher than average and the quantity is slightly smaller than average but for me quality is the most important thing so they get 5 stars

We ordered from uber eat for their well known pork stomach soup and others. so disappointed that they used wrong vegetable as traditional Cantonese people always use in the soup. we really doubt if they are traditional cantonese chef doing the cantonese food claypot rice and other well knowned cantonese food. also doubt the good reviews online . ... the world is crazy

This restaurant is packed for dinner and long line of people waiting. It's better to make reservations to minimize waiting. Everything we ordered was good. The clay pot rice was bigger than usual. The pepper chicken & pig stomach soup was delicious.

Always enjoyed the food here but our recent experience was pretty mediocre. The a la carte menu for the chicken hot pot is a bit overpriced, especially the portions of the veggie platter. Staff was not welcoming, did not really check on the table even though the chicken hot pot was taking a long time to come out and when we asked about it we got a very blank stare and a nod.

We enjoyed the food we ordered - Chicken with pork stomach soup, and Classic sausage and dried pork rice. The flavour is much like the South East Asian food. They even serve ginger sauce and black sauce for the chicken. The claypot rice has got chunks of crispy rice on the bottom, which is what it should be. The chicken with pork stomach soup is peppery and nice on a cold day.
The eatery is not big but we were able to get a table around lunch time. The plaza has lots of parking lot and surrounded by many shops

I thought the chicken hotpot was very basic and the dipping sauces were very mild. The Claypot was better for me but still just ok. Maybe this kind of food is too simple for me but I appreciate the tradition and ambience. 3 stars for me but 4 if you like this kind of food. I rather eat a roasted duck and pig hahaha!

I've been to The Big Casserole twice now, and each time, their dishes were delicious. The first time, I had their House Chicken With Pork Stomach rice noodle, and the second time, I had their Spicy Pickle Veggies with Pork Intestine rice noodle. Both were everything that I'd hoped for, comforting, and sooo good. I can't wait to try their other dishes in the future!!

I went to this restaurant 2 times.
The first time was last year and I remember I was curious: there was a super long waiting line outside of the restaurant. It was a cold day too. So I thought the food should be immensely mind blowing. It was good! I mean it could be me who changed my taste.
Today my friend actually wanted to go to the restaurant next to it. But I convinced to go back and check out again. It’s a rainy day anyways so I wanted some hot soup. There were some tell tale signs in the beginning but I brushed them off.
First off, the customers. The restaurant was actually busy. All tables were full and customers kept coming in. I waited for 15’ which wasn’t bad. The customers on both side of mine were annoying. Something was just off. The family sitting across my table were looking at me the whole time. It wasn’t glances, more like staring.
I remember how I liked the food from the last visit. It is fresh with not much ingredients or spices. And this is why my friend didn’t like it. He thinks it’s too plain with not much of food on plate or bowl or pot. I’m okay with it. I even thought it’s plentiful. The price is not bad either.
What I wanna say here is how disappointed I am with the customer service. Staff are not attentive and rude. My friend bowl & plate were wet. So he wanted to switch it to a different bowl. Staff never came back with a new bowl. They didn’t give us napkin either. They didn’t ask if we wanted water or tea. The tea was hot, it almost burned my friend’s mouth. Whenever I waved at them to come over, they had this irritated look on their face. But everything was still okay until the moment I asked for the bill to pay.
It’s the lady in her 40’ She asked if I wanted cash or debit. I said I need the machine. My friend gestured wiping down (so it means card) She stared at us and kept asking several times. I said credit. She glared at me & said: “I asked you cash or debit.”
It is the top of this bizarre experience. It’s not what she said or I did, it’s the tone & underlining of the interaction. So what? I wanted to pay with card and not cash. Even if the machine doesn’t have credit option, I’ll pay with debit. I can guarantee it’s not the English issue. If she can pick on credit versus debit, she knows how to make or break conversations.
Then maybe there is some kinda restaurants which thrive on humiliate their customers (yes it exists) but it could be these are staff who are underpaid. Almost all of staff today never smiled or greeted customers. They were super slow on customers’ request, inefficient and unhappy.
I can’t believe with this attitude & work ethics this restaurant is still filled 🙄 with customers & high rating. Oh and another thing I noticed is customers tend to order a lot in this restaurant.
I think management should train their staff again to honor the trust & money customers choose to invest in this restaurant. They deserve better service than what is currently offering. What a let down!
I won’t recommend The Big Casserole to any of my family members, friends, colleagues or acquaintances. And I won’t come back to it again!

We order a ginger chicken with rice! Rice is hard! Chicken is freezing cold and tasteless! Even the dip for the chicken got no taste.
Second dish is their signature chicken soup with noodle. The chicken is over cooked and again, tasteless!
It’s not worth it , we pay $40 including tax and tips ! Won’t recommend and go again!

Ordered 2 clay pot rice. Eel & meat patty (too bad no pic) and pork ribs & preserved meat. The piece of eel was small compared to the meat patty. Disappointed to find soya sauce in the bottom of the rice pots, would much prefer having it on the side. Rice arrived fast, but was too wet for my liking and portion wasn't as big as it looks. The only positive was it wasn't too salty.
Wonton with fish noodles was tasteless and noodles texture tasted manufactured, not fresh.
A Waiter hit his trolly at our chair and another waitress splashed water while cleaning a table beside us.
