I had an amazing experience at this bakery in Richmond Hill, offering some of the best Hong Kong-style egg tarts in Toronto. The egg tarts were served piping hot and incredibly fresh, and the generous portion size was a pleasant surprise. The pastry was wonderfully crispy, and the filling struck the perfect balance of sweetness. What made the experience even better was the friendly owner, who always goes the extra mile. I appreciate that they're willing to reserve the tarts for me when I call ahead, saving me from any unnecessary wait, especially since they're baked every 20 minutes. Highly recommend this place!

This bakery is super popular for their egg tarts! They usually run out but you can place an order over the phone. I find the crust is flaky but the filling on one visit was too watery (needed more bake time), and the taste is a bit bland. Prices are very reasonable. Worth a try if you’re in the area.

Best Cantonese egg tarts in the gta, by far.

The best egg tart with such place. You can beat them. The owners are a young couple whom I have been known for 20 years when it used to be at Victoria Park and Tempo Ave. Better call ahead before you go to avoid sold out disappointment.

If you enjoy HK Egg Tarts, you MUST try here. Reviews aren't joking when they say "best". Definitely a +1 to that claim from our family. They were super fresh when we got them as well and they reheated nicely. Amazing value for around $2 - can you get anything for that price anymore?! LolWhat makes it the best?! Silky smooth filling, "not too sweet" (classic Chinese compliment), flaky but not too flaky pastry. Just one delectable bite combination one after the next.Wish they were open on Sundays too.

There are also discussions on the Internet and in community areas (ready pastry egg tart shells are also sold in many places, which is super convenient): To make a good pastry egg tart, the manufacturing process is not simple. Professional bakers must repeatedly mix the water crust and oil crust, and the subsequent baking process also depends on the professional baker's oven temperature control. The egg tarts purchased on the day may have been stored in You & Me Bakery and Coffee Shop for a little longer, so the differences were different when you ate them.Sorry, the egg tart we bought at that time was not crispy enough, and the egg aroma, milk aroma and sweetness were slightly lacking. And it is only slightly warm, making it easy to get tired of eating. In addition to the signature egg tarts, You & Me Bakery and Coffee Shop also offers many types of bread. An egg tart sells for a few Canadian dollars, and I'm glad to see so many regular customers. Will I look back? ?Ordinary customers also told the boss that this year has arrived in mid-November 2023, and the 2020 poster should be changed. Haha, sorry.

One of the best egg tart places in GTA. Fresh batch every 40 mins. Call to reserve or you risk having to wait.

I have a bit of an egg tart obsession, and I've tried egg tarts from upward of 25+ bakeries across the GTA. The egg tarts from You & Me are definitely the best I've had, especially if you happen to get there right when they're coming out of the oven! I have no problem driving over an hour to pick some up, they're that good.To me, the filling is very similar across different egg tarts, but the pastry shell is what sets an egg tart apart from the rest. The pastry shell here is perfectly buttery, flaky, and tender. If you're an egg tart fan like myself, do yourself a favour and stop by this bakery - you won't regret it :)

FYI - this bakery is cash only!! (I think)We saw this bakery on Friday night and came back the next morning when it was open for some fresh pastries and bakeries. We got here around 9:30 AM and every option was still in stock.PINEAPPLE BUN WITH BUTER + ICED HONG KONG MILK TEAI think this was under 7.00 for both and it was a great combo. The pineapple bun was big and fluffy with a huge slab of butter stuffed in. Honestly, I thought it was too much butter on the bun and so did my friends. Eventually, we just nibbled around the bun and enjoyed the parts that didn't have butter on them. The pineapple crust on top was pretty crunchy and crispy and the bun was fluffy.BBQ PORK BUNThis was enjoyable the next day while we were on the road. Lots of bun, but the BBQ pork wasn't too sweet, yet flavorful. I enjoyed it!EGG TARTI wish I ate this right after I bought it and not after a 20 minute walk back to our Airbnb. The custard was super creamy and smooth, perfect amount of sweetness. It reminded me of my mom's custard! The tart itself was a bit soggy by the time we got back, so I can't imagine how good it'd be if I enjoyed it earlier. This bakery was a good find; my friends and I really enjoyed the pastries and drinks here.
