We ordered from Maison De Xin on New Year's Eve for the first time and were not disappointed. The curried vegetables were flavourable but not too hot. The Pad Thai was as good as I have had outside a Thai restaurant and was loaded with large shrimp. All of the dishes had a hearty amount of meat (nicely tender) and vegetables (lots of variety, crisp) sitting in the right amount of sauce. The egg rolls were crisp and not greasy at all. My only suggestion would be to offer the option of upping the flavour and kick of the dishes as they tended to be on the tame side in this respect.

While we ordered take-out, I noticed that the restaurant looked clean, nicely decorated and well organized - would be good for large families or other events. We will be back!

Hadn't been in a while, decided to go last weekend the food was mediocre at best. Garlic spare ribs and sauce had no flavor. Chicken balls was just batter with a crumb of chicken. Fried rice was just that, fried rice with barely anything else in it. Lastly the cream puffs for desert were so dry it was inedible. We won't be back.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time, and the experience was extremely disappointing. My order for dinner for two was advertised as including “chicken chow mein,” which I was expecting to be the classic stir-fried noodles with chicken, vegetables, and sauce. Instead, I received chicken chop suey with a separate bag of dry noodles and was told to mix it myself. When I raised the issue, the staff completely dismissed my concerns and made no effort to offer a resolution.

Even when I went to the restaurant in person, the situation remained the same—unhelpful service and no attempt to correct the mistake. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from or visiting this restaurant again and strongly advise others to be cautious.

One of my favoritedishes has changed; recipe and texture are different. Very disappointed in egg roll change too.
*edit we think it was under cooked perhaps.
We're not going, anywhere, we still love the place.

Hi there,
We are faithful customers of yours and always prefer supporting local business.
Last evening though, we were disappointed to find our combination plate not entirely full. There were only 4 pieces of beef with the broccoli and even less pieces of chicken in the imperial chicken portion. As well, our rice section was not entirely filled.

I am reaching out out of concern as we've always enjoyed your food items and have never encountered this before.
We always try to leave a cash tip as well even though we are picking up as we know business can be tough at times and always appreciate the nice costumer service.

Sadly, we may choose to discontinue ordering from your restaurant and may try the other Chinese food business.

We have been difficulties trying to dine in as there sign are confusing for the buffet times & it's availability. Finally decided to order take out. The vegetable fried rice was nice, the beef with mixed vegetables was ok but had more vegetables than beef, the closed end egg rolls were good but smaller in size than other places I've tried. Hopefully we get to try the buffet before COVID protocols are emplamented again.

Had takeout tonight,the service was good and fast but the food on the other hand was very disappointing 😅 the chicken balls was mostly breading,the wonton soup was tasteless and the rest of the food was pretty much bland and flavourless. Giving this a 3/10 rating mostly because the staff and service was good,been going here for quite a few years and it seemed to have been going downhill for this restaurant.

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten.
The rice was so dry overcooked they should call it yesterday rice.
I ordered beef and mushroom.
When I got home a few slices of beef and lots of vegetables. In a watery tasteless sauce that was nothing but Greece.
Also do not eat the egg roll this is something you should use for a door stop.
What a waste of money again the worst Food you ever eat.
Please save your money go somewhere else.

it has new owners and they only wanted cash because their machine was not working yet. well really disappointed hardly no vegetables sliver of green pepper and carrot terrible, chicken wings were good size but no flavor of salt and pepper, sweet sour chicken balls lots of dough and ketchup sauce yuk, garlic spareribs really dry just thrown in watery garlic sauce, crispy beef vinegar flavor no veggies dry beef, chicken fried rice dry no veggies, noodles no veggies 100.00 for this will not go back not unless they change but I doubt it

The servers are the nicest ladies. The food is good, listen, everyone has different taste buds. I choose this place over the other because it's just my choice. Could be a little quicker on buffet refills but otherwise this place works for me. Will go back as much as I can. 🙌

My husband and I went here for date night and they seem understaffed. It was a busy Friday night/weekend and there was lots of people. We stood around waiting for about 10-15 minutes before being seated. We were told just to go seat ourselves at one side. We then waited again for our server before we would start the buffet. We waited about 5-10 minutes before we just went ahead to the buffet. I wouldn't blame the staff for them not being as quick as they should be because there was very few staff and so many customers.
Food here was mediocre at best. It's edible, best thing I enjoyed here was the chicken fried rice. The price is a bit high for the quality of food here.
