Every time I go to Alderville I just have to stop at The Butter Empire Bakery. They have the best butter tarts I’ve ever tasted! They also have an amazing variety to choose from. Yesterday, I also tried a peanut butter cookie and it’s was delicious. Fresh baked goods daily and the staff are incredibly friendly. You must try them you won’t regret it!

I stopped in a couple weeks ago and their butter tart selection blew me away. I also bought a huge cookie for the road. Well, they were incredible. I shared them with my coworkers and tomorrow I'm picking up 24 more as a treat for the audience. I'm performing with the Aces of Harmony (in Peterborough)in a show tomorrow at 2pm. So scrumptious!!! I love these buttertarts they are amazing..I've never tasted anything like them..the pastry is buttery and flaky..melt in your mouth!! Outstanding recipe Chef ..you most definately use the best ingredients and don't cheap out with quality ..I think your prices are amazing ..considering all you use is BUTTER I Would expect to pay a bit more ..most bakeries that use Butter are $25 a half dozen..Yours are $23..you pay for what you get and from the line up today..that speaks for itself..you have a real good thing going on. Also Open Every weekend!

The best butter tarts! Tried this bakery for the first time and was blown away. The aroma when you walk in makes you start to salivate. Biggest selection of butter tarts I’ve ever seen. We chose plain, kitkat, caramilk, skor, and butter finger butter tarts! They were all so delicious! So buttery and beautifully flakey pastry. The staff were also super friendly and patient while we were having trouble choosing. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try more flavours.
