My wife and I just had our wedding catered by Gilt. We had a lot of extremely positive things but unfortunately a handful of somewhat bigger ticket items that had an effect on our overall experience.
The Good: - overall catering experience from planning to execution is relatively streamlined and straight forward - food was amazing - catering staff was extremely polite and friendly - bar/drink options were extensive - party perks were excellent when matched with a preferred venue
Room for Improvement: - catering uniforms were hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, and other painfully casual attire. Considering our wedding was a formal event, this was commented on frequently by our guests - a few items missed from our coordinated plan with our Day-Of-Coordinator that we spent money on, and fell through the cracks. A cigar bar that was not set up, and we missed timing for our first dance by about an hour until my wife noticed
Here is the big dinger for us. We paid $1500.00 for day of coordination and it was painful. The individual was very nice and polite, but we have a lot of criticism for the actual work itself. Throughout a majority of the process our emails back and forth were not read or attended to thoroughly, causing us to be the one reminding for updates and edits and ending up with a lack of trust towards the big day. Many requests or mistakes were repeated more than once, and emails were simply responded to without answering a lot of our questions or addressing comments, disregarding a large amount of context we had spent a lot of time organizing so that it would be neat, precise, and easy to absorb.
The worst part is on the day of our wedding, we had vendors, and even some guests mention that our coordinator was disrespectful or rude to them or someone else, which is simply unacceptable.
To bring this together, the food and catering service, aside from uniforms were very impressive, but the overall experience of working with Gilt was disappointing, especially considering the price point.

Gilt recently catered an event for my work, and it went so so well. They made the nicest biggest charcuterie table with an insane spread. They took my ideas that I gave them and made everything better and more delicious than I could have imagined. They worked so efficiently on the day and were kind and were great to be around. They also seemed like they were having FUN together, proudly taking videos of their work (for socials maybe) and generally just having a good time. From the initial inquiry email, Kristi was SO incredibly kind and accommodating to meet with us after hours and answer ALL of our questions whenever we needed anything at all. She made the booking process easy and straightforward! We have also been to another wedding this past summer that Gilt was used for and when I tell you my meal was one of the best wedding meals I’ve ever had….I knew I wanted to use them for my wedding! We had Sidney as our coordinator and she was amazing with letting us know the process of how the food would be brought in to an offsite location and kept hot for all our 105 guests! We didn't have one complaint about the food, everyone said their meal was hot and so delicious!! I have had at least 4 guests ask me for the dulce de leche cheesecake recipe as well saying its the best cheesecake they've ever had....and we agree 100%. The catering team was attentive, professional and worked with our reception timeline to minimize disruptions during dinner service which was so appreciated! Any future gatherings we have, Gilt will be at the top of our list! + the stella coordination team is amazing to work with and we enjoyed every minute of it!

When I went to write this review I was shocked to not see thousands of 5 star reviews. Gilt catering did the food at our wedding on September 20th 2025. The food was amazing, they are consistently, organized and so talented. The guests loved the food. We also had such a great experience working with Maddie our coordinator. They made sure every detail was organized and that everyone had exactly what they needed.
We had the short rib and salmon as our mains and our guests could not stop raving about it. The whole experience was exceptional and I could not recommend working with them more!

So many of our guests have told us how much they enjoyed the food at our wedding and someone even said that was the best piece of chicken they have ever had! Dinner was spectacular with raving reviews from all guests on one of the three dishes. We were super impressed with how each guest received a hot meal. We used Gilt Catering for our backyard wedding reception for a group of 80 people and it was a hit. Their buffet and passed canapés seamlessly accommodated various dietary preferences. Their staff on site were friendly and attentive and the coordinators were great to plan with. We had guests who had attended numerous weddings this year who said that this food was the best they had. We got so many compliments on the catering. At the end of the night, they quietly showed themselves out and didn’t interrupt the fun. I will have Gilt Catering again!

From the time we did our tasting until our wedding 8 months later all we could think about was the food for the big day. was going to be incredible. As the day approached everyone warned me (the Bride) about making sure I eat the day of, no one ever got enough food on their wedding day, etc. and I laughed as I knew that was one thing that would not be a problem - there was nothing coming between us and those Gilt plates on the big day. Every part of the experience with Gilt was incredibly easy, well planned and perfectly executed. You will have no worries when passing the reigns of your big day over to the team at Gilt, they simply are top tier. Our guests are still talking about the food, as are we. We hired Gilt Catering for our wedding and we were not disappointed! This was some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. Our guests love their dishes! We upgraded our main option to the steak and they were sooo juicy! The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. They came up to us the bring us drinks and make sure we were having an awesome time. They also went out of their way to save us some of the passed canapés (we didn’t ask for this but it was sooo kind of them). They worked with us so well and really are amazing at what they do.
