We delicious dinners ... mushroom risotto & a black bean burger with a gluten free bun! Our waitress was very good! It was our 1st visit to Jacob's Grill & it was very enjoyable! We'll definitely come back.

We were going to be in St. Jacob's and made a reservation assuming it would busy on a Saturday evening. It was quiet in the village and Jacob's Grill was all but empty. Sadly. Our server was pleasant and efficient, the menu selection appealing and the ambiance relaxed. My first wine selection was unavailable. My second choice had been discontinued and replaced but the server didn't know the label. Not a big deal and the wine was fine. My spouse said her salmon entree was excellent! My Rueben was good! We would recommend Jacob's Grill for a casual meal, especially with friends. There are options for most everyone and the relaxed setting is conducive to socializing.

Had chicken quesadilla and side Caesar salad , others had cutlet sandwhich and potato salad. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, servings were ample and service pleasant and responsive.

My friend asked for a glass of water and received it immediately. I asked for sparkling water and I waited for approximately 15 minutes, I eventually got up and asked waitress when was I getting my water? She brought it over ( not sure why it didn't come with all of the other drinks she has on her tray? Eventually we both ordered the schnitzel as we've had it before. The schnitzel was considerably smaller than previous and it was super thin. It wasn't great to say the least. When we were done with the food I asked for a coffee and butter tart, that came out quickly, but I noticed that the tart was really small compared to other times. After I was done with my dessert the waitress comes over and says that my dessert will be out shortly, she was completely shocked. At some point she said that I must have gotten the child size serving!! We asked for our bill which took at least 15 minutes to get it , then another 15 waiting for her to come back with machine. This restaurant used to be a favorite when I would go to at. Jacobs, but I won't be back. Slow service, food was ok at best. Not attentive at all and place wasn't busy.

The last time I was at Jacob's Grill, at least 5 years ago, it was a relatively “nice dining experience” not high end but not what I would describe as “cafeteria style, no vibe, no flow just a bunch of table set up in a boring square like picnic tables. We had a reservation,!as my family from the states was visiting. I was kind of embarrassed, it looked like a space set up for the zoo or Ontario place. So weird. We also waited at least 50 minutes for food for 6 people. Our reservation was for 11:30 and we were the only table at that time. So disappointed

The steak dinner and the pesto pasta were underwhelming, definitely don't recommend and wouldn't get again. The mushroom risotto was outstanding, and would absolutely get it again.

A large group were given excellent service and we enjoyed the restaurant. We found the food good however the pastry for a pie was like cardboard and not eaten. A butter tart was also ordered and the pastry was very hard. We would give the restaurant another try next visit.

We enjoyed the experience but the male waiter was extremely loud in a room that echos. Our female server was excellent.

Delicious meals. Fair prices. Incredible service. Looking forward to my next Jacob's Grill experience!

Too much like “out west” experience rather than peaceful Mennonite experience. Bring back quiet and peaceful stone crock. Food was ok. Service hit and miss as servers were having a gossip

I really wanted to spend 2 hours on Mother's Day waiting for cold pancakes from an incredibly limited menu. How thoughtful to have only 1 item for kids on a menu for Mother's Day. I loved sipping on 1 cup of cold coffee for 2 hours without getting offered a refill!

This is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner along the main street of St. Jacob. Nice selection of dishes which are fresh and wholesome. Family oriented with charming staff and access to their Meat and Cheese store and Bakery for purchases afterwards.

The restaurant was surprisingly empty on a Saturday evening but that gave us the best seat in the house! Music was playing at a good level so we could hear each other. The server was excellent and fun. Our drinks and food came promptly and a birthday dessert offered. Our meals were excellent. We enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back!

Our experience was average at best. I had the fish and chips and the fish was great, but the fries were poor. It's a massive, empty place, and there was only one other table there during dinner. Service was ok, but the server was either inexperienced or trying too hard.

Lunch on December 20. Took 50 minutes to order and get food. Horrible service. (e.g. server was refilling water, spilled a bunch on the table and floor and just left for us to clean up.) Food took forever to arrive. Food was "OK" but not inexpensive. The place was not busy! Won't be back.
