Have eaten here on a few occasions. Today my daughter and I were there over the lunch hour. The restaurant was quite full for a Monday and there were only 2 servers on. Having said that, we experienced excellent service. Our server was friendly and took the time to ensure we had everything we needed. My daughter had the havarti burger with soup of the day, and I had the schnitzel on a bun with soup. The food was very tasty and portions were a decent size. I would recommend this place for lunch if you ever find yourself in St. Jacobs. Don't forget to take your receipt with you if you plan to buy anything in the deli shop next door. If you present your receipt from The Grill, you will get 10% off your purchase at the deli shop.

Such a lovely place to spend a special family outing. Food was delicious, service was attentive and prompt. Thank you... Can't wait to visit again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free bun option was much appreciated.

This was one of the worst meals that I have ever tried to eat. I had the steak frites, and the steak was lousy, thin cut, overcooked, greasy and unseasoned. The brussel sprouts were just flakes of burned charcoal. The french fries were fine. It would be bad enough if this was a $20 entree for this garbage, but it was $35+. It was so disappointing and terrible that I have decided to write my first restaurant review to spare anyone else this experience. The restaurant was almost empty at a prime time which should have been a red flag.

Best pizza my husband has had in years! Zippy broccoli soup was awesome... Loved it so much I wanted more. Fresh ingredients. Flavour, flavour. Elevated pub fare. Very good service too. Important to me ** Really clean washrooms! Will go back next time in town.

The pub is open as of today. Great addition and absolutely amazing service. Good food and entertainment. All around excellent way to spend the lunch stretch. Staff is energized and on top of their game. General manager or so he appeared to be needs to lighten up, fitting into a casual spot may not be in his best interest. Otherwise worth the visit

Very personable and attentive server. The food was not as good quality as at my last visit (lunch, Dec. 21/2023). I enjoyed my chicken wrap in Dec. but this time the chicken was quite dry and tough. Also the mixed green salad had several wilted and spoiled leaves in it (which I removed). I know that is a problem with those more delicate greens, but takes only a few minutes to deal with at the start of the day. The stars given reflect both my recent experiences at your restaurant.

Everything was very good. Nothing spectacular but our party of four was all satisfied. We had fish and chips, schnitzel, and salads. All of it was good. The service was very friendly and relatively attentive. We may return but found it a little bit expensive, especially the specialty drinks which were not anything special.Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrance, room to maneuver. Not sure about bathrooms.

Been a few times over the years. Better for lunch than dinner. Food average and therefore pretty overpriced. Server friendly, guy from kitchen who delivered the food kind of threw it at us!! Ok if you need somewhere

We had the chicken wrap and the fish an chips and found them both very nice. Our server was very pleasant. There could be a better wine choice....$17 for a 6 ounce glass of Chardonnay seems a bit much. Other than that everything was very nice. There was a good atmosphere.

We ordered the mushroom sandwich and the pan roasted salmon. Also ordered the scallop potatoes on the side for each. Overall rating is a complete failure. The scallops were not cooked, the potatoes were still crunchy! The mushroom sandwich was meh at best, most definitely not worth the $20 I paid. The salmon was 'just don't order it'. You don't have to many choices in St Jacob's Village but I would choose another because this place is just not cutting it.

I came here last year for a treat myself day before seeing a show. I had the prix fix menu with a seasonal and local menu and loved it and raved about it to friends and family! I came back a few days ago with my partner and they didn't have the prix fix menu anymore or local descriptors. Our waiter was nice but after our meal was served forgot about us and we waited a half hour after our meal was done with the intention to get desert before we just went to the bar to ask for the bill. Everyone else was nice, food was good, prices are high though for what you get and doesn't feel unique enough to justify it. Would probably go again another time for a better experience.

We both had the schnitzel but found it dry and hard to cut. Our meals were served so quickly after the order was placed, the schnitzel must have been cooked and sitting for some time.

We had the schnitzel sandwich and portobello sandwich - one with fries (which were really fresh and crisp) and one with side salad - they were excellent. The schnitzel is made with pork and the dill sauce on the portobello was really good. Our server Kiera was delightful and engaging. Would definitely recommend for an enjoyable lunch!
