My friend and I came here and we loved it! Everyone was so friendly. We did the lunch buffet (not sure if they still do that?). But we had a great time here and the cake was delicious!!
We popped by for a quick mid day snack while in St Jacob's. Service was good. I'm not sure if the food could have been more disappointing. My son and I each had $8 bowl of cabbage soup that had 15 cents of ingredients. My wife's hummus had 15 cents worth of chips with them. Had they doubled their investment we would have each had a generous portions. The only question a business owner needs to ask is "did I just give the customer a reason to come back" sadly in this case it's a no.
I have tried a few things from the lunch menu like the burgers are awesome, the chicken wrap and the fish and chips I would highly recommend for a quick tasty lunch. The staff are always super friendly and polite. the building is still under construction so you can actually eat outside if you want in their giant tent. Makes eating in the rain really cool. Prices are decent but it is a tourist village so prices are little bit higher but again decent (under $20 for most lunch entrees). I would recmend!
We went for lunch. Found a piece of plastic at the end of my soup. Took it off the bill. The batter on the fish and chips was raw on the inside. Spoke with the manager and showed her. Ordered bottled water. The glass was cracked. Service was poor and it took awhile to get our food. They took 4.50 off for the fish and chips. Condiments were not brought to the table and asked for ketchup. By the time we got it, the fries were cold. Not a great experience. Have eaten here before the pandemic and the food and service was great.
Unfortunately, it’s been many years since we visited this wonderful quaint village with fine shops and outstanding personable service, but our return was enjoyable and worthwhile in part due to selecting Stone Crock for lunch. We sat outside under a tent with heat omitting devices to warm the cool temperatures that day. The food and drink menu, enclosed is small, but offers enough options to satisfy. Our wines by the glass were good, but pricey at $14 for 6 ounces. My wife’s burger was tasty and ample which required her to bring the side salad home. My Taco bowl was large, good with leftovers for home. Service was excellent, personable and professional, which is key element in our dining experience. However, our two entrees with two glasses of wine at $72 was expensive, but due to the pleasant experience we had, there was no buyers remorse. There are many positive reasons for a return visit, possibly for dinner in the future?! Recommended!
We are from Alberta visiting family. Our aunt and uncle showed us around the area and we ended up at Stone Crock for lunch. The service was wonderful and the large tent worked well for all. Our server, Deb, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We all enjoyed the food and drink. We will definitely be back at some point. Thanks so much for the great meal!
Good food, large patio and tent setup for Covid
The Stone Crock restaurant has excellent food and service. I know. I've eaten there many times. However, this time, the Stone crock was closed due to renovations, so we were placed in its sister restaurant next door called, Jacob's Grill. This side had mediocre food, the prices were outrageously expensive, and the waiter gave horrible service. We paid $40 for 2 burgers, and 1 drink!!! Omg! The burger was okay. The drink was lousy. I would NOT recommend anyone to eat at Jacob's Grill. Go to McDonald's for the same meal.
The massive high ceilinged outdoor tent open on three sides for breezy shade was ideal. Tables were spread really far apart. Felt at ease and safe for our lunch. The waiter was awesome and early on made us feel welcome saying to take our time. We weren't planning to eat but the setup as we walked by was too good so we tried it. Food was delicious too
We went for lunch and ate outside under their huge tent. They had fireplace heaters. I had the crispy chicken wrap and potatoe leek soup which was delicious. My friend had taco salad which she said was spicy. Fish and chips by other friend two pieces of battered haddock and homemade french ? service was fast and efficient. Social distancing in practice. We would go again.

Great place to enjoy dinner on the patio...Connie is perfect server!
My favourite place for breakfast. Now that covid restrictions have been reduced I'm happy to enjoy my traditional Saturday morning buffet.
Great Place! Great Grub. Great Atmosphere!
A friend and I had supper at your restaurant. I have ate at Stone Crock many times and have never been disappointed until today. If we had not ask about schnitzel we wouldn't have been told about it. Your prices are terrible. The schnitzel was pretty good. Stone Crock was noted for its german food. Unless you change when the original Stone Crock is opened up, I don't think I will be back.
Great staff, service was great. Currently it's under renovation & you sit outside under a large tent or at picnic tables that have umbrellas. The menu is from Jacob's Grill which is a few doors down. Reason is Stone Crock to stay open they operate under license of Jacob's Grill
