It was great I just think the loaded onion was a waste of money as it was just those plastic bacon bits and that weird nacho cheese. I actually think it made the onion taste worse. Service was great and the onion was super crispy and well cooked.

We requested holding the bacon bits for the loaded blooming onion. The cashier instead said he could give us the regular original with cheese for the regular price. However the owner who was serving it refused to add cheese and demanded the price of the loaded for adding cheese. The cashier also changed his stance immediately when asked.
Caused embarrassment and ruined the food experience. The blooming onion was not great either, bland and flat.
Save your money and get some good onion rings at the A&W nearby.

After buying our first colossal onion the internal area was raw. The batter was dripping from the middle and off the onion. We asked for a refund at the CNE and they refused to accept that they were in the wrong and gaslight us into saying that their onions cannot be raw as it doesn’t contain any eggs milk or dairy but they refuse to tell us what it was actually made out of. Instead of refunding us they gave us another onion and again it was internally raw as well as on the outside. Horrible experience would not recommend the hassle, people in fact were horrified and left the line once discovered that they were serving raw deep fried onions

Just beyond AWESOME taste! Unique product, Yummilicious taste and LARGE quantity is what differentiates it!! I wish they had it permanently in Calgary. Stampede was just 10 days
At Stampede Colossal onion lady selling garbage food, oil is very dirty like engine oil, after eating I had swere stomach pain and vomiting. So don't buy colossal onion from stampede. Their server Old lady doesn't know how to deal with customers she is so rude and she doesn't have sense to deal with the customers. She is full of attitude she needs a retirement now.

I remember seeing something similar at the Elmira Maple Syrup festival and was on the hunt for a blooming onion ever since! The Colossal Onion is IT! Made fresh to order, excellent dip, huge serving. We are four grown adults and had trouble finishing one! The service is amazing. The lady at the counter patiently explained all the options, type of cooking oil, vegetarian options. I wish I could camp here! 5 Stars!
