1858 Caesar Bar Sauble Beach

Nice place with a great view. Service was good, staff are friendly and on top of things. The Caesars are very good. I had the jerk chicken Caesar, the chicken was so tasty.

Drinks are great. Food was mediocre with very very limited selection, small serving size. Music, though, was the worst -- extremely loud & obnoxious.

We have been to this bar many times and it has always been a great experience. The caesars are the best I have ever had and the combinations of flavours, rimmers and toppings are fun and creative. I hope an 1858 opens in Toronto so we can visit all year around! Everything we have had has been delicious. The food is all very tasty. Yes it is almost all deep fried, but if you want a salad go to a salad restaurant. This is a caesar bar! Bar food is not health food! It is yummy and salty and goes well with the drinks! The draw here are the fantastic caesars, the beautiful view and location and the terrific, charming, knowledgable staff. We love to bring our guests here and everyone has enjoyed the experience very much. The super comfortable chairs and bar stools are a nice touch and the washrooms are always impeccably cleaned.

Always a lovely experience here! (I love it so much that I went twice this week!) The drinks are phenomenal no matter what you get. The Caesars are top notch, the margaritas are to die for, & the cocktails are super yummy!! This place doesn’t offer many food options (as it’s a Caesar bar obvi) but the food they DO have is SO good!!! I always get the Chicken & Pickle Sandwich and it’s honestly the best ever. Their dill fries are heaven! My family also said their chicken fingers are the best they’ve ever had anywhere!!

Anna was our server the other day & despite how packed it was, she was so amazing with keeping up with all our orders and was so kind 🩷

Waited in line for 15 minutes. We could see 3 or 4 open tables, but no one was being sat at them. Then a group left, and still no one was being sat. Looking out, it seemed no one had received their food (unless everyone had only ordered drinks) which didn't inspire confidence, but we still waited. There's a QR code at the front of the place to scan to see the menu, but Sauble has shifty reception, so we couldn't actually see the menu until we sat down and were handed one. Eventually we were sat at a low table with high tables directly beside us, and immediately ice cubes started falling on us from people sitting on the stools above. I guess they didn't see there was a seated table below them, and they just picked ice out of their drinks and swiped the ice off their table (and directly on to us). Rude. We still tried to be positive and looked over the menu. Lot of meat options. Hardly any seafood, which feels so odd for a beach town. Tried to order two vegetarian-friendly things that were apparently both out. (I think one was guacamole?) Then I explained to the waiter I don't eat meat and he recommended the dill fries, which honestly are kind of yucky. The meat eaters get full meal options, the vegetarians get sides... if they get anything at all. I think there was only one food option on the menu that I saw that was vegan-suitable. Really uncomfortable, and waited too long only to leave hungry.

If you're in Sauble beach this is definitely a place you should not missed. It's a busy bar vibrant lovely patio, even live dj. Don't come here to expect fast service. While u get instead, it's this awesome ceasers that take time to create so you can have an ultimate experience! They are crazy spicy tho! Service is good too, slow but good!

What a great experience!!! The drinks were amazing and the vibe was so fun. Our server Stella was super attentive and kind, can not recommend this place more. A must go-to in sauble!!!

Fabulous place to sit, have a drink and a snack looking out onto the beach. James was our server and he was GREAT! He was friendly, knowledgeable and gave yummy suggestions. He has fantastic customer service skills and has a great energy. He made the visit for us!

Give this place 10 stars!!! After an awful experience down the road, myself and my boyfriend ventured to 1858 where we were met with welcoming staff and the best vibes. Anna was beyond knowledgeable and made amazing recommendations. I had the feeling dill and my boyfriend had the smokehouse... out of this world. We left feeling like we made new friends.
