The food was alright but no matter what do not sit inside I was traumatized there was flys and misquotes everywhere I couldn’t enjoy my food not one bit I was on 24/7 watch making sure my food doesn’t get attacked by the flys it felt like I was sitting in a washroom eating my food… definitely do not recommend sitting

The prices were a bit higher than usual, but considering their location, it's totally understandable. The waiting line was quite long, so it's better to arrive early to avoid a wait. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was amazing. I would definitely recommend it if you want to watch the sunset.

One of the landmark's in Sauble Beach. Fantastic vibe and beach views. I have written a previous review, but this is for their breakfast, which is a new offering this year. Ordered the chicken & waffles and the waffle breakfast sandwich (veggie) with home fries. Amazing! Both were hot, full of flavour, savoury and sweet. We were really surprised and impressed - we knew the dinners were great, but weren't sure how the breakfast would be. Same care and quality. Service was attentive, friendly and our waitress was so funny and personable. She made our morning!

They make a lot happen with their waffle iron and sauces. Most of their dishes revolve around their made-from-scratch waffles and vacillate between sweet & savoury. I did their waffles benny and it was quite tasty - though it comes ungarnished. Coffee was served in paper cups, and there was a lot of ice in their orange juice - so if that’s a thing for you, keep that in mind. They have a very nice patio right by the beach and there was no wait to get in, so that’s a plus.

Amazing food and a great patio atmosphere! The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the live music. I recommend the nachos and wings!! Plus the house beer, Solas Brew was perfect on a sunny day. Steps away from the beach! A must stop when you come to Sauble Beach!!

Our party of 4 agreed to eat indoors instead of on the patio so we could get a table sooner. Tables came available a bit later outside and we asked to switch and we were told there were others waiting for a table but there was nobody in the line and at least 2-3 tables available outside at that point. We waited quite awhile for our order to be taken and we waited at least 40 min to get our food. I’ve not previously had a bad experience at Sola’s but on this night, we ordered 2 pizzas and they were mediocre at best. The crust reminded me of a McCain pizza. It was a disappointing experience all around…. it seemed expensive for mediocre pizza unfortunately. A month ago our party did have a better meal ( Buffalo chicken and chicken and waffles) at Sola’s and service was much faster.

I now understand why the group behind us walked out. I also left disappointed. We waited an hour to be served breakfast. 10am we arrived and a few tables were still empty. We patiently waited and watched 3 tables (who arrived after us) receive a menu and place their order. Finally, someone noticed us and called for a server. Our food arrived without the cutlery. I went in and asked a server who kindly apologized and quickly brought it out. We were hoping for the breakfast to improve our mood and leave with a good experience. You can imagine the disappointment when it arrived and the Sola Breakfast had 2 tiny overcooked bacon strips. I didnt want to leave our frustration on the server so we asked to speak to management. And Jed Rusk (the owner) is the reason why I'm leaving this review. He explained they were short staff. I understand that's a reason for a longer wait time but not the reason why those 3 other tables were served before us and why we were served with 2 overcooked bacon strips. Jed was disgruntled with our request for more bacon. He grabbed a plate from our table and asked for the 2 strips back. He arrived with 2 other strips (a lot better) but I was confused that after requesting for more bacon only 2 were brought back. He seemed frustrated and so were we. I said to Jed, I don't understand why you sound offended by our request and his response was that he was trying to solve the issue but he was inconsiderate and impolite. To process the payment, Jed asked me who our server was. I said, we didn't have one...he interrupts me to say, your plates must have flew to your table than? I was trying to tell him that we had different servers and that I didn't know who it was. I told him I would leave a horrible review and he replied, you think I care? we do well with or without it, have an awesome day (thumbs up). I told him he sucks because he does. Had he acted differently and treated us with respect, this review wouldn't be here.
Ate here this morning and we had a horrible experience! We had multiple servers and manager was extremely rude with a lot of attitude. Food was extremely small portions. Definitely do not recommend!

Ordered a drink from the bar and did not enjoy it. Took one sip (it was bad) and asked to get it taken off the bill. Apparently they "don't really do that here". She did end up taking it off which was nice. Fried chicken sandwich was burnt and dry. Fries came out cold. The water tasted like they filled my cup directly from the lake. Overall, not impressed, especially considering the prices.

We had guests come to visit us up in Sauble and wanted to treat us to dinner at Solas, a place we go to every year with them.There was a wait for a table which was to be expected. Our hostess was pleasant and offered us drinks while we waited.We were seated by I’m assuming the owner or manager and he said you get a front row seat by the dj. This is where everything went downhill. I get having a di playing music as entertainment, but why is club music being played at 7:00 pm during dinner?? It was awful. We couldn’t have dinner conversation because no one could hear anything. Why r u blasting music, club music during dinner?? Maybe after 9:00 would have been more appropriate. If we hadn’t of waited so long for a table I should have asked to be seated elsewhere.Waitress was great, food was ok but what an awful night. Won’t be going back.

The breakfast food was good I ordered the hot chicken waffles it was really good BUT a big BUT the fork was smelling so bad it was really disgusting for me and my family. I assume it was not cleaned properly after an egg meal. It was wet a bit when I get it. Another thing that we ordered a hash brown and we got a plate of cubed fired potato which is absolutely not a hash brown. But really the food was really good and the waiters were really nice and the place is just amazing. We wanted to eat lunch there but we didnt like the lunch menu

We were there on the weekend and we had a great time. The music was great, the food was so yummy, the drinks were nice and sweet and the staff was super friendly and personable. The views of the beach were stunning and the wait time wasn't very long. I would totally recommend going here when your at the beach next.
