My sister came to visit and found you. She is highly allergic to gluten and doesn’t go out to eat often because of the risk of cross contamination. We ate lunch and even got dessert to eat in house and take home because there were so many gf options. It was busy but the server and food came out quickly. Gray atmosphere and energy!
I would rate higher if possible. I was a tourist passing through and stopped in for coffee to go. I stayed for a legitimately excellent bagel, fried egg, bacon, and brie sandwich and a wonderful chat with the owner, server, and even some other customers. This is the type of establishment that I try to seek out. The food was outstanding and the bakery display case was filled with everything my heart called for and doctor advised against. Try nanaimo bars and butter tarts though...
If you are a celiac in or traveling through the Soo, you have to try this place! Excellent for breakfast or lunch, with a nice outdoor courtyard for the summer. And the desserts! We returned home with 5 gluten-free desserts plus 2 gluten-free cake slices! It would have been 6 if I liked peanut butter! Very highly recommended.
