About the only complaint that I have is that the portions are way too big! Lol. Really is the best fish/chips/shrimp etc food truck in the Sault!

We went twice this summer. First time, it was fries only, and they were very good. Just salt on them, and after adding vinegar and salt, they were delicious.

Tonight, we got the family-sized poutine. The fries were cooked well, and I think the gravy was ok, except that we couldn't really taste anything but the huge amount of seasoned salt on the fries. The small amount of cheese was rubbery (not curds, but grated cheese, which would be fine if there was a decent amount of quality cheese), and everything tasted like the aforementioned seasoned salt, which gave the gravy a really bad flavour. It was almost inedible for us, but we ate it because we did pay $15 for it. Incredibly disappointed, especially after our first good experience.

What happened to this place? Food used to be yummy no matter what you ordered (not so much this year, 2024, undercooked greasy fries, bland almost freezer taste to the fish, burgers not the same, etc ) and staff used to be personable not just behave with a basic level of politeness. There was a time where you drive by and have to think twice about going there only because it was so busy, but nowadays every time I go by there's nobody there. The last few times I went food was just subpar, nothing to write home about, so I've been going up the road to the other fish and chip place instead for better quality and service. And you can't blame the pandemic on this place's drastic decline. Won't go back, and I tried more than once to be sure it wasn't just a one-time issue. I do appreciate the courtesy of the owner responding, however it will not change my mind because I have tried multiple times since the change of ownership. Maybe I'll give it another chance next season and if it's better I'll revise my review but for now no thanks.

Travelling across Canada. Stopped here for lunch. Friendly staff. Best fish and fries we have had in ages. Very large portions. Whenever we go through Sault Ste Marie we will be sure to stop in.

Didn't get what I ordered. Pickerel. Received Whitefish. Still had bones. 20 dollars for two small pieces of fish. No fries. Mentioned my disappointment to them. They had no concern. Will not return. Want fish. Visit the Whiskey barrel

$18.95 for fried fish with skin and bones. I ordered pickerel, not sure what I got. But it was mostly skin and batter. Will not go back

Honestly the best fish and chicken I have had in a while, the coleslaw was just cherry on top. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I recently tried this place and I must say, it was an incredible experience! From the moment I approached the truck, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service.

The food was absolutely amazing. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The fish was equally delightful, fresh and cooked to perfection.

Not only was the food top-notch, but the service was also exceptional. The staff was attentive, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great dining experience. It's clear that they take pride in what they do, and it reflects in both the food and the service.

Overall, I highly recommend Jack's Chicken and Fish to anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
