Our family went to Montana for my child's birthday. The restaurant was not busy at all. I saw lots of empty tables. As soon as we sat someone brought us the menu but after that no one was checking us for more than 15 minutes. I was trying to grab any server's attention since I didn't even know who the server was for our table but everyone who made eye contact with me kind of ignored that eye contact. They don't even try to find out why I was staring at them. Meanwhile a couple who came much later was served by a server who ignored eye contact. Eventually everyone started to get hungry and annoyed so I was waving with the menu. After that meaningless menu-waving for 10 minutes, the one who guided us to the table came to us and said, "No one has served you, yet? I'm so sorry!" Then a server/manager came and got orders from us.
We started to eat, someone came to check on us if the food was okay, and that was it. The server never came back for any further needs from us like refilling drinks or whatsoever. We had to do that meaningless eye contact again for another 5 minutes to get our soda refilled because we couldn't find our server. At that point we were very frustrated.
It was half price wing day with any order of drinks so everyone ordered drinks with wings, on top of that we ordered two more dishes. Eventually everyone got full and we had almost one dish of wings left so we asked for a take out box.
That server/manager came with a take out box and told my husband that we are not supposed to take out leftover wings because it was half price wing day. I never heard any sort of BS from any restaurant we've been to! They didn't consider we were full because we ordered extra dishes. Were we supposed to eat wings first and take out the other food when they could get soggy? We've had enough! I just packed the food and paid and took off. I didn't even want to pay tips because the service was awful! We’ll probably never go back to Montana again.
I don't know, it used to be a decent restaurant with friendly servers but something went wrong. It was an unpleasant experience on an important day!

Had a great late evening meal at this Montana's and was not disappointed. We were seated promptly, served drinks quickly and our meals (excellent) arrived in record time. Kudos to this Montana's for their top shelf customer service.

My wife and I took my sister and a friend here for supper Sept 15/24 on our way west from PEI. We have eaten many times at Montana’s in PEI and NB and never had a poor meal. This place was disgusting my sister and her friend ordered ribs and they burnt so much they were crusty hard. My order was Honking Beef Rib and it was burnt and crusty hard. Our bill came to $100. And wasn’t worth $10. The waitress was on her first day on the job and asked how our meal was and 2 of us said it was burnt and figured it was reheated leftover product from day before. All she said was sorry you had a bad experience. On the way out the shift manager spoke to me and I told here I would never be back the meal was awful. All she said was sorry to hear that if you would have said so before you paid the bill I could have done something for you. WOW but I had said something to the waitress. Not her fault she was on first day and in my opinion should have been supervised for a shift or two. I am not usually a complainer but this place is a place to stay clear of.

The waiter eventually showed up and said “ I thought someone else was assigned to you” meanwhile they’re all standing and talking amongst themselves. Not once did they come refill our water, or ask how the food was. I strongly recommend against this place and I don’t think we’ll go to a Montana's again. This franchise in particular should be payed a visit to by corporate and observed. It may be time for a purging of the current staff and time for a new team to keep business up.

The only accurate part of this sign that hangs in the waiting area is "caution." If this is the best BBQ that Canada has to offer, I feel bad for our neighbours to the north. (Or south, if you're in Detroit.) My dining companion's ribs were so dry he stopped after one disappointing bite. My steak was decently prepared, but the meat was so gristly that there were only about 5 bites that were edible. The fries were sad, the beans tasted like no other beans I've had, and that's not a compliment. I haven't had food this bad since an unfortunate trip to a Swiss Chalet during an argument. 0/10.

Food was good, our waitress was quick, helpful and very kind but there was a ton of bees in the corner on the patio. Like a TON of bees. Distracted me from the scenery. Like I saw at least 50 bees, going to work. Mayhaps they're the chefs.
