Nice little spot with a very friendly waiter

When walking in, you see what can only be assumed is the owner sitting on the front bench on his phone. Not very appealing and not a great start. You seat yourself. There is one waitress to serve about 20 tables. Most were full at dinner time on the Saturday we visited. We did the buffet. There were 8 dishes which included one vegetable one perogie one meatball one gnocchi one chicken drumsticks one chicken wing and one mystey sauce. Also, one ceaser salad. That was 25.00!!!! Not worth it, in my opinion. Now well pop is refillable root beer is not. Also, good luck getting a refill when the one and only waitress was so run off her feet she didn't have time to bring any. All well, the presumable owner sat on his phone! There was also no change table in the womens washroom yet claming to be a fmaily restaurant. The one and only bouns they didn't charge me for my 3 year old picky eater

Had a lovely luncheon there in the back room. The food was standard but good. Good service. I enjoyed it.

What a lovely surprise on our travels. Recommended by our motel, Sandro’s has that “family meal” atmosphere. Buffet had limited offerings, but everything was hearty and delicious. Meatballs, gnocchi, perogies, to die for. Reasonable price and friendly staff. Treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

A local gathering place that is joyous and very noisy. Very busy too.

All round good restaurant. Good food and service. Just tried take out pizza for first time. Best pizza 🍕 I ve had in 30 years. Hope it’s not a one shot wonder. Will continue with their pizza for now.

Always such a welcoming, positive and professional atmosphere - their pizza is just a bonus ;). Will gladly support Sandro's by picking up a pie on my way back to Iron Bridge when I visit the Soo!!

Great smaller family restaurant with a nice buffet and good menu options. Food is excellent, reasonably priced, and portions were good. Service was also excellent even though we came in fairly late.

Vegetarian options: Quite a number of vegetarian options.

Ayako was very personal and made our visit so pleasant and enjoyable! We ordered butter tarts and coffee and found the tarts to bring perfect memories of grandma McMullen’s homemade recipe. Crust was flakey and thin, with a perfect level of sweet filling (minus raisins). Music was low enough to not interfere with hearing aids-really appreciate that!! Highly recommend this clean and bright restaurant!

Here’s my experience from the moment I stepped in :-
1. Step in, and I was greeted by the older caucasian lady who asks me if I’m picking up an order ? A bit presumptuous that all Indians are delivery drivers, but it’s alright.

2. I was there for the buffet but that’s only on Thursday-Sunday, so I asked if I could see the menu beforehand. I do this because it saves the restaurant extra effort to clean my table for the next person, if I’m just going to see the menu and not order anything. Usually all health departments say that restaurants should be cleaning tables for the next person even if someone has not ordered anything. I thought I was being nice by asking for the menu beforehand. . apparently not 🤔.
Also, it wasn’t busy so I wasn’t holding up anyone.

So, I see the menu and decide and I want to dine in. The same lady asks me if I want to dine in, or leave. I say and I want to dine in, and she walks away with the menu. I was still not seated even though there’s a sign there saying, please wait to be seated.

3. I HAD to ASK the other asian server for a seat and get seated. She was nice and helpful, and suggested some of the crowd favourites over there.
I had to try the baked lasagna, so I did and it did not disappoint. They have a special sauce prepared in-house and that enhanced the lasagna’s taste.

4. Finished my food and asked the asian server about the buffet. Left the place with a smile on my face, and left a 25% tip.

Overall, a cozy family run place. Don’t let this review deter you from trying the place, just hope you don’t run into the first server 😅.

To the older lady server, I just want to say that. .
Customer service is not a one size fits all, and what u think works for you doesn’t work for everyone. So please learn to be polite and respectful to all 🙏
