Omg talk about the biggest disappointment ever 😩 me and my bf ordered the premium sashimi tray for $80.. and there was absolutely nothing premium about it. All the fish tasted like nothing, like watered down ice fish pieces. This will be the last time I ever come back, might as well spend the same amount of money on budget omakeses. The service was really good though. The best part about tonight’s dinner was the service, complimentary black sesame dessert, and the black diamond roll. That was still as good as I remember.

The dessert is way too small. But everything tasted great.

NEVER order delivery or takeout from this restaurant. every single one of my experiences eating out with them has been negative; the only reason I tried again is because their food is decent (albeit overpriced) when you eat-in. I ordered the ikura and uni don which came looking nothing like the picture on the menu. Half of the toppings was egg (which I didn't even know would be included), and they gave me about 3 tiny pieces of unfresh uni. I don't normally leave reviews, but congrats, this experience angered me enough to leave a negative review!

Love the food and semi private tables. Highly recommend for groups of friends. Make reservation ahead of time! Garlic Edamame w/ butter great for appetizer

p1 aka oni ramen is okay, the noodles wrapped in hot spring egg yolk are very fragrant
p2 Lunch price salmon + sea urchin rice. The salmon is super delicious! Sea urchin bibimbap is delicious
p3 Foie gras, eel and purple rice roll. There are crab sticks and other things in the purple rice roll, which is a bit too complicated to eat in one bite. Eat the top half alone and the fat will explode. It’s super fragrant.
p4 Matcha ice cream is very thick and a bit too sweet

The lunch price drinks are too friendly (two drinks for 2+3)

A friend recommended this spot, so I figured I'd give it a try. As a devoted ramen lover, though, I have to admit their ramen didn’t quite hit my expection. I went for the Hakata-style shio ramen, but the broth had this mysterious hint of miso that threw me off—it felt like the shio and miso flavors were in a bit of an identity crisis. The noodles leaned a little too soft, the soft-boiled egg’s yolk was surprisingly cold in the center (not quite the warm embrace I was hoping for), and the chashu…well, let's just say it was very friendly with star anise—a common spice in Asia but maybe not a flavor that needed to steal the spotlight here.

On the plus side, if the broth was made in-house rather than coming from some centralized soup headquarters or pre-made packs, that’s a big thumbs up, because this tonkotsu was refreshingly odor-free—a rare feat in Toronto!
Now, onto the appetizers, where things really turned around. I had the Uni Hotate Carpaccio, which came with sea urchin and scallop. No fishiness whatsoever—just pure, natural sweetness from fresh ingredients with a perfect touch of wasabi. Absolutely delicious!
For skewers, I ordered chicken cartilage, gizzard, and squid tentacles. I think there was a mix-up because I got squid cartilage instead of chicken, but honestly, it was so good I didn’t even mind. Flavor-wise, it was mind-blowing. The squid tentacles, on the other hand, were a bit of a bummer—chewy and a tad too charred.
The service was fantastic—the server was warm and attentive, checking in often to see if I needed anything. Most of her recommendations hit the mark, except for the ramen.

If you’re here for ramen, it might not be a love-at-first-slurp experience. But if you’re looking for a laid-back izakaya with great appetizers and skewers, this is absolutely a spot you’ll want to hit with friends for a fun weekend night out!

Honestly, a great place. Our first time yesterday and though we didn't order a big variety, we mostly wanted to have sashimi and raw fish, so we ordered the takara tray and also some calamari. And it was great! Fish was fresh and the servers on our night were attentive and accommodating. It is mid to high end so expect prices to be a little steeper, but in my opinion not that bad especially for raw fish.

Arrived 15 minutes early to our booking and were told to come back in 15 minutes. Noticed thru the window that our table was ready and available for seating. Why the host would let customers stood in the cold for 15 minutes for no reason at all. Poor customer services!

Wait times need work but they are very busy, the food is nothing short of a 10/10 or a 5/5. Their black Cod alone is what makes me give it a full 5 stars for food. Some items like this fruit tea is not something I would order again, not everything will be to your taste, but everything we ordered we loved. The place is very clean and beautiful to sit in as well.
