Food was bad but what really got me was the service. Before going in here I was reading the reviews and thought customer service can’t be that bad can it? Wrong. The man that was talking to me had a major arrogant attitude and was so confused. Honestly can’t tell whether it was an act or not but he couldn’t understand Tamil or English. The wait times were horrendous and these people accept no wrongdoing. I honestly don’t know how this place still runs. Within the 15 minutes I was standing there, a group of 7 people were waiting for their food. Absolutely horrible!!! We spent a large amount of money catering for a party and will never be back again.

This place has the best pasta!!! Very yummy so worth ordering a full tray of the best mix of spice with their rose sauce love the mix of shrimp and chicken they do

I can only rate the food because I tried their catering at a party. The pasta was DELICIOUS. I love how they don’t skimp on the meat. It was a very generous portion. Best spicy meaty pasta I’ve ever had

We ordered apple spice catering for 2 major Tamil student association events this year and our students loved the food (chili chicken Kothu and veggie cream pasta) ! Will definitely order from here again!

Positive: quick to answer phone orders & food was tasty.

NEED TO IMPROVE : efficiency in clearly taking orders; had to call twice to make sure the order was correct! Did not mention that extra fee is charged for credit or debit card payments!
When I got there to pick up the order, the cashier did not understand English & kept saying that he had to charge me extra $5 fee if paying with my DEBIT card!!!
What a scam!!
Chicken pasta had tasty sauce however lacked chicken pieces!!
Overall not a very disappointing experience.

My (family's) recent experience at Applespice was nothing short of a culinary disaster. We ordered variety of foods for take out, total cost $136. The main course, Kottu Rotti, was overcooked, dry, used wrong masala powder (too much fenugreek + chilies) and resembled something more suited for non-human. I grew up Kattankudy /Batticaloa where Kottu Rotti originated during early 1970. I knew what would be the taste, so expected it should be similar, or close at least, but this was terrible. At end of the day I realized that it was my fault choosing the Applespice since there are many tamil restaurants in Steels/Markham area to choose. Please 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. thanks

I will give them Zero stars. They advertise something on their website and when we go in person they don't honour it. When I'm trying to ask for something alternative for seafood curry a person comes out with an attitude and tells the person to taking the order that they won't make seafood Kothu. I will not return to these establishments when the customer isn't respected. I felt really disrespected and they didn't care.
