I have been going here for years...but NEVER again. I went today to buy jerk chicken, spinach and dumpling as a take out. I got home to eat it and it was frozen solid.... not cold....FROZEN. The entire meal was frozen solid.....it was supposed to be a take out meal ready to eat. Who knows when it was originally cooked?

The go-to grocery store for West Indian food in Scarborough. The staff are very friendly. The prices are good and they always seem to have what I need. They serve fresh Jamaican food you can order from the counter. They have jerk chicken, oxtail, curry chicken, stew beef, fish (red snapper) rice and peas, dumpling, festival, plantain. It’s all good. A lot of repeat customers from the neighbourhood.

Change the hours on the website if your not open 😅
Staff were warm and welcoming, very polite. I ordered the liver and provisions and ackee & saltfish w/ white rice and was not disappointed. Mom got oxtail with rice and said the food was amazing. Definitely will be coming back again
I ordered off UberEats. I ended up getting the salt fish meal and curry chicken. Both were absolutely delicious!!! Very well proportioned, the food came hot, and my goodness. So yummy! Will definitely be ordering from Aunt Elsie again!
Amazing. Love the food and these people. A must try. ❤️😀
Tried couple of times. Pretty good. Visit recently ordered fish and lamb rice. But disappointed that rice not like before and lamb with too much bones, very little meat. Prices increased but food quality and quantity both were not as good as before.

Aunt Elsie occupies space in a small Caribbean grocery store. The oxtail is delicious, the provisions are plentiful and so yummy. Salt fish so delicious. Just go and buy.

This place is a solid 10 outta 10 and needed to be one of Keith Lee's Toronto stops.
The food and service is giving the best authentic vibes and might even make you a little homesick for Jamaica. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is high. I recommend the ackee and saltfish, the cookup saltish a la carte, and the okra. The cooked good was also really good; proper yam and dumplings (My only complaint is the fried cassava (yucca), fish fritter, and festival. It was really greasy (needs some paper to soak up the excess oil) .
Will definitely be back to try more items!
Loved it
