Flavourful South Indian food restaurant recently opened up in Markham. Servers are helpful, give good suggestions according to your taste and spice levels. Food was fresh & amazing. We ordered bharwan mushrooms and aaloo tikki for appetizers, chicken biryani, bbq platter, pathar ghosht and tawa fish with a mix of garlic and butter naan. Definitely going back to try their goan curry. 👍👍

One of my absolute favourite spots. Love the food here and love how diverse their menu is. Their chicken and lamb Mandi are both my favourites and their haleem is also a must try. Don’t skip their chai either. Love their sizzling plates. And the service is always so good! I’m a regular here and can’t recommend this place enough 💛

I came across a lot of reviews on Instagram about this place, which motivated me to try it out with a friend today. To my surprise, when we arrived at lunchtime, the restaurant was completely empty — which immediately made us wonder if we had chosen the wrong spot.
The service was good; our server was polite and friendly, no complaints there. We started with piña colada and mango mojito, and both drinks were refreshing and enjoyable.
For food, we ordered two thalis — one seafood (with shrimp gravy) and one BBQ thali. Looking back, we should have ordered different items to get a better variety, since both thalis came with almost the same things.
Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. While the presentation looked nice, the taste wasn’t there at all: • The BBQ items were clearly old and reheated. The white chicken had a strange smell and wasn’t edible, the kebabs were dry, and the single BBQ shrimp was completely dried out. • The naan bread was dry and stale — for the first time ever, we didn’t even want to pack leftovers. • The salad was just raw vegetables with no seasoning. • The samosa was clearly reheated and even had a dark brown burnt patch on the bottom. • The shrimp gravy was okay, but nothing special. • The lentil curry was bland and not enjoyable.
Overall, the food tasted like it had been cooked earlier and reheated rather than freshly made. For the price, it definitely wasn’t worth it.
Sadly, this was not the experience I was hoping for, and I will not be going back.

I had an amazing experience at Biryani & BBQ! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I tried the Haleem, the Lamb Shank Mandi, the Biryani, the Mix Veg Thali, and the Tandoori Sizzler — and every single dish was outstanding. The Haleem was rich and perfectly spiced, the Lamb Shank Mandi was tender and flavorful, the biryani was aromatic with the right balance of spices, and the thali gave a wonderful variety of fresh vegetarian options. The tandoori sizzler came out sizzling hot and was a showstopper at the table! Portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot if you love authentic biryani, BBQ, and desi comfort food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The food was excellent and the service was nice and friendly. We did not have to wait long for the food we ordered, and the portions were good. We ordered a pot of biryani and we had some left over, and the waiter gave us a foil pan with a lid to take our biriyani home, and this was much appreciated. I recommend this restaurant if you love Indian food and you want to have a small family night out. 💜🙏🏾
