Great burger joint in Scarborough!!

We wanted to try a burger place so came by to Burger Factory for the first time as we had heard good things about the franchise (being halal was a main factor). The dine-in area was relatively clean and well kept. We were greeted by the kind staff at the counter and they took our order for the Nashville Chicken Burger combos - one with fries and one with poutine. When the order was complete, we were a little taken aback by the high price. We were hoping that the food would match up to the price. However, disappointingly, it didn’t.
The burger had a generally good appearance and looked tasty. However, the taste fell flat with the bland chicken heaped with some kind of sauce made with ketchup. The ketchup was so overpowering that the burger’s taste didn’t even come through. And the chicken wasn’t even crispy. And being a Nashville burger, I expected some spice but it wasn’t spicy at all.
Next, the fries. Oh my. The only good thing about the fries was the seasoning on them. I was really looking forward to enjoying some fries with my combo meal but I could only eat 2-3 fries… they were oily, limpy and the colour… the colour was the strangest dark-brown colour of fries I have seen. They looked burnt. I couldn’t even look at them without feeling sad.
I can’t say anything good about the poutine because it was one of the worst tasting poutines I have ever had. The gravy was so salty to the point that it was bitter. So bitter that I had to wash down the awful taste with all of my water. The fries looked like they were floating in gravy… there was too much of it. And of course, the same oily, limpy fries were in it so it was just the worst combination of tastes.
The only positive point from my experience at this location of Burger Factory was the kindness of the staff. The menu needs a complete overhaul. There is absolutely no reason for why the food should be that expensive especially when the taste is so underwhelming. A burger place that can’t get their burgers right or even the fries… that is a big red flag. I write this review as honest feedback from our experience and to let others customers know what to expect if they plan on eating at this location.

Overall ambiance is better loke Amy except for the food. I ordered beef steak burger. And it was like more beef fat cheese combo with few chunks of cheese.

So Overall I did not have a good experience. When you expect shredded steak burger then it should be but not at burger factory. Subway makes better steak burger.
