Hit and miss. Some things are good, other things are... mediocre.

Seafood chow mein is pre-mixed with the sauce, so it's no good for takeout. Not to mention, the noodles hardly had any crunch to begin with.

Beef Chow Fun had almost no beef.

The shredded chicken was still attached to the bones (other places usually leave the bones at the bottom, or take them out and replace the empty space with veggies). Otherwise, the flavor is decent.

Used to always go here as a kid, but I suppose that's the last time I suggest this place.

Came today the Scarborough location and order the same chicken/salty fish fry rice that I ordered in Markham location yesterday
Also added $2 more salted fish and came out not as good and less salty fish than yesterday, I say is at best 6/10
Not happy with it, I guess the cook here just don’t care

I used to come often. It was good before. Maybe they change the cook, the food taste pretty bad these 3 times when I get. Maybe they change the cook. Cannot take this anymore. I need to find other place now

Every time I order bake pork chop on spaghetti, it’s always rice. I literally asked if it was pasta, when I went to pick it up. The women said yes. But NO, it’s rice. I live at the other end of the city and i got upset and decided to call them and complain. The women was ridiculously rude! who told me it was pasta, started to blame everyone under the sun and told me it wasn’t her fault!!! When I asked for her name, she refused. She then told me the boss was going to call me back.
As you can see the rice is just nasty and don’t know when it was actually cooked and by looking at it, you can see how mushy it is.
Let’s see if the boss will actually call me back?!

Chicken is good here 👍👍👍

Decent quality of food with cheap prices. Their tea eggs are very good. I heard they sold over 2 dozen in an hour. I ordered 4 and ate them all while I was there. I bought another 8 home.

We have 2 meals combo for lunch. The food was tasty. Good value for money.

They have a discount card that reduces the total cost, however it's for specific items only.

Ordered the chicken and fried tofu with fried fish. Food is alright.

Today, I ordered beef & tomato on rice and it was very disappointed as 4/5 portion was soggy rice. Hardly any beef & tomato. I noticed every since management change over this place is no longer the same. Sadly, I won't be coming back any time soon.

I come here frequently for the $10 breakfast special that includes a bowl of congee and rice noodle rolls. The food is authentic Hong Kong style experience and really great value. You know it’s good when the customers are mostly older Chinese people.

Service is decent but a bit slow especially when it’s busy, which isn’t really the restaurants fault.

It’s a food court, atmosphere is what you’d expect.

I visited Canton Kitchen on the evening of July 8, 2024, and my experience was disappointing and frustrating. There are a couple of issues I feel compelled to mention:

1. VIP Discount Cards Misleading: I was excited to use my VIP discount card for my first purchase, only to be informed at the counter that the card cannot be used for first-time purchases. This crucial detail was not mentioned anywhere before purchasing the card. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic, which was totally unacceptable.

2, Food Safety Concern: I purchased two cups of soy beverage from the fridge, expecting it to be chilled. To my surprise, the beverage was just a bit lower than room temperature. This is a clear violation of food safety standards, as such drinks need to be kept at a specific temperature to ensure they are safe for consumption.

3. Beverage quality: The soy beverage did not taste like soybeans; it just tasted like sweetened water with a milky color.

Overall, these issues significantly detracted from my experience, and I urge the management takes steps to address these concerns promptly.
