Caribbean Wave × Djenane Saint Juste Books
A joyful and flavorful stop at @CaribbeanWaveToronto, where culture is felt through every bite.
From tender oxtail with rice and beans, to shrimp with vegetables, and perfectly seasoned jerk chicken paired with a bold Caribbean hot sauce, every dish carried comfort, care, and tradition. The space was clean, welcoming, and filled with genuine hospitality, with customer service that made us feel right at home.
It was a pleasure sharing stories, meeting families, and introducing Djenane Saint Juste Books in a place where Caribbean culture is so beautifully honored through food.
Thank you for nourishing both body and spirit, and for creating a space where community gathers naturally.

The culinary offerings consistently meet high standards, and the service is invariably friendly and professional. We have utilized their services for both large-scale events and intimate dining experiences, with both consistently exceeding expectations. This level of sustained consistency is a testament to the establishment's commitment to excellence.

Fried rice is really good here. The jerk chicken is ok, a bit too dry for my liking. And you cannot get it with white rice, not a good combo in my opinion. Order took up to 20 minutes during lunch time.
3/5 - could be better

This place fell way off. Not sure if theres new owners/new chefs but the food was not up to par with what they used to serve.
Got an order of caribbean wave special mixed fried rice with fried chicken on top.
Portion size - shrunk and now serving in single size containers instead of the the larger double sized ones in the past. The 'fried chicken' was not fried and more like oven baked. The rice was horrible - bland, lacked flavor and also not seemed like it was steamed not fried.
Overall, disappointed. Would not recommend based on all the other authentic caribbean spots in the area.
This is not Caribbean food anymore, doesn't taste good. It used to be good but last weekend got food from there and nothing was up to par. Chicken smell and taste raw and the shrimp smell rotten.

Do not, I repeat, do not order the chili chicken from this restaurant! It was so dry and overcooked, it felt like I was chewing on leather. Wish I didn’t give them a second chance!
From the moment I walked into Caribbean Wave, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The food carrebian wave fried rice and wave fings are must to try it was rich in flavor, perfectly seasoned, and served hot – everything you’d want in a Caribbean dining experience.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service from Nazreen. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Her positive attitude and professionalism elevated the entire visit.
If you’re looking for delicious Caribbean food paired with top-notch service, ask for Nazreen – she’ll make sure you leave with a smile (and maybe craving seconds!).
Highly recommend!
