I went this morning. Bought 3 ham & eggs buns & 3 more buns. The boss lady said ham & eggs cost more $1.45 each. Force me to get an extra bun not to pay tax because of the different price. I said no tax will be charged on the buns since I already bought 6 buns. She's mumbled. The boss lady is not honest & overcharged the buns. Won't go back!
You can't ask questions because the store owners are extremely impatient and have a very bad attitude. They just want to charge you more money so you can buy more bread.

Charging money arbitrarily. The boss lady will try to overcharge you for bread.

5 stars to this place for:
1) overcharging my bun purchase and rounding up my purchase to the nearest dollar then short changing me $5.
2) selling me old stale bread, even reheating the bread could not save it
3) the service was shocking and the attitude was not necessary
4) the misleading signs, says $1.25 for the buns but actually it's $1.50 with tax on top and rounding to the nearest dollar and no change given.
Save your money and go somewhere else!

clean and spacious bakery with classic offerings. I’ve been going to their downtown location on dundas for years and was glad to stumble across their markham location after having lunch nearby.
buns are fresh and individually wrapped. their smaller biscuits are worth trying too.

Please be more careful when paying the bill. I have been here many times, but the phenomenon of miscounting still occurs. Although this time I was only overcharged by $0.25, but I was overcounted by $0.5 twice before. But The person who collected the money was probably the landlady, and she thought it was a good deal to give it to us.

Deceptive selling practices. I normally frequent their other location, so I was in this area and stopped here.
The lady makes up a price in her head.
One each is $1.25.
I bought two assuming $2.50.
She said with tax $3.00.
To be exact should’ve been $2.83.
Buy 4 and I won’t charge you tax and it’ll be $5.00
If there was a sign or she was upfront with me about it ahead of time, I wouldn’t mind, doing it with also an arrogant attitude earns you this review.
Buns were average, not fresh as opposed to their other location which I’ve wrote years ago…

The bamboo shoot meat buns are a bit salty and the wrapper is a bit watery. The pineapple buns are okay. If they are freshly baked, they will be delicious. Surprisingly, the tiger skin cake rolls are very good. They are very soft and not sweet at all. The cream is salty. Recommended ~

We came across this place by accident. It was a pleasant surprise. I haven't seen prices like this in about 10 years. It was good for its price.

Great bakery offering a variety of sweet and savoury buns for a great price. I occasionally come here to get a snack. I recommend this bakery to anyone visiting this area or anyone living nearby.

Visited on a Saturday morning around 8:45am, doors were open and people were coming and going but none of the freshly baked buns (hot dog buns, bbq pork buns, etc.,) were ready to serve yet. Was told to come back around 9:30am, which I did, and a lovely lady helped me pick some buns fresh off the tray as they still weren't on display yet and I wasn't 100% sure what each one was. Totally worth the wait, buns are DELICIOUS and whole family was satisfied. Easily the best priced Chinese bakery I've found.
Great prices for the GTA in 2023, SeptemberMost stand alone buns are $1.25 or $1.50 all individually wrapped. Other places charging $1.80 like the Akko Cake Shop in Mississauga and always low in stock.1. Pineapple Bun (bbq pork filling)Great moist bread, pleasant sweet pineapple topping, and thick bbq meat filling. Subjectively a 89%.2. Cream bunGreat moist bread, the cream was medium fat and sweet. The cream is the most important part of this bun and was a little bit above average. A White person or a Banana (Asian yellow on the outside and white personality on the inside) would like more fat/butter in the cream and it could be a bit more sweeter. An Asian person would probably find the bun just right in fat and sweetness. Subjectively a 81%.
