Went in for dinner with the family, it wasn’t busy. Just one other table and us. We ordered sushi and shrimp tempura. All food was so fresh and flavourful. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. It’s just the two of them so it might take a bit more time for dishes to arrive at your table but believe me it’s worth the wait.

One of the best authentic Japanese restaurant in GTA. A hidden gem indeed! The taste and quality of the teriyaki sauce is unique and flavourful. The people are kind and generous. You just have to try it for yourself. I will recommend this to a friend.

Had the udon noodles here. The taste was great. The service was attentive and quick. Not much space to sit and the place feels a bit cramped, but other than that it was a great experience.

Dined in with a friend. We both thought the portions were very little compared to many other bento boxes and especially so for dinner (we ended up hungry and got more food elsewhere). Taste was ok , but didn't make up for that. Lacking service and took long to get the bill.

Underrated sushi place near Midland and Finch plaza, I got a takeout order of a Green Dragon Roll for myself. Waitime was around 20 minutes, the married old couple working there were rlly friendly. Really worth the price, the portion sizes of the sushi rolls were big and packed with ingredients. Tasted fresh and I could see the chef preparing it while waiting. I had to eat quickly since I was on break and was pretty full afterwards lol

Our favorite Japanese place in the area. We always go for their salmon sashimi not only because it is good, but also because given its price, you'll definitely get more compared to other restaurants. The couple who owns the place is also very kind and nice.

We shared the small party tray and it came to under $50 including tax (table of 2 people). As salmon lovers, the party tray was delicious! Plenty of salmon pieces. The salmon sashimi had a perfect ratio of lean to fatty meat and were of a good thickness. The spicy salmon rolls tasted fresh and had a very dry nice crunch to them, which we liked. The sushi chef and the other cook/waitress were jolly and welcoming. The restaurant is a cozy warm place, tucked away in the corner of a busy plaza. Hours are shorter than the rest of the establishments in the plaza, but it’s worth it to eat here! Payment was cash only when we were there.Great place, definitely worth a try!(Picture is after we had already dug into several few pieces of the sushi, we couldn’t wait haha)

Daon Sushi has been on my radar for a long time. I was in the area looking for a fast food lunch and walked in to order a bento box. The nice owner lady served me hot tea to start. She was very sweet and polite. Shortly afterward the man behind the counter served me a small bowl of hot miso soup which had a good amount of green onions. It was the proper proportion of miso to water too; not watery like other restaurants. It was tasty. Within a short period of time my bento box arrived. It consisted of a crunchy vegetable spring roll, crispy iceberg salad with shreds of carrot, edamame, rice and teriyaki glazed salmon sprinkled with sesame seeds, green onions, sitting atop a bed of stir fried cabbage. I'd say it was better than the alternative for a fast food meal.
