CAREFUL!!! Most of the time when I ordered spicy noodles I have stomach issues -diarrhea!!!

I bought vadai and onion bagoda . The vadai was good, but I can't eat the onion bagoda . It is very dry and had fungus. I do not want to pay to get sick.

Busy place on Sunday, good food choices available, 100% vegetarian restaurant is their specialty.

They don’t wear the gloves

I've been to Datta a few times and I'll admit it's mostly for the 5 for $1 (cash, take out) samosas. They're smaller, spicier (heat) than what I think of typical samosas and filled mostly with a mash rather than chopped ingredients. I'm not sure if this is particular to this style of samosa or specific to Datta, but I like them. The food turnover is high for the samosas so I usually get them warm, if not hot. I've also tried other snack items like pakoras, which have also been good. The many other food items look good, but I haven't yet asked what they are to see if I want to try them out. Soon though.

The ladies who fill your order are efficient, communicative and patient, and the one time I had an issue with my order on a misunderstanding it was easily and quickly resolved.

For $3 I can get 15 samosas or 2 bags of bargain chips, so the samosas are an easy pick. When I eat them at home, I also dip them into a tamarind sauce.

I went in, placed my order, and the lady even took out a container but then she completely ignored me and served someone else instead when they called for the lady to take their order. The service was terrible. I ended up leaving because of the blatant disrespect. I don’t recommend going there.

Excellent vegetarian food. I'm a big fan of their bitter melon mix. Kind ask for the owners to please list curries and snacks on UberEats. Current options on UberEats is very limited.

We picked up our lunch around 10:30 a.m., and by noon, the carrot samba had already gone bad — it didn’t taste right at all, which is definitely not normal. One of our guests also pointed out that one of the curries had a stringy texture (possibly potato skin), which made it unpleasant to eat.

We called to inform the staff about the issue, but no one followed up. Just mentioning this in case someone later suggests we should have called — we did. 😄

Based on this experience, I’m not sure I’d recommend this place.
