Desi Mane offers a variety of food options at prices that are quite affordable compared to other places, which is definitely a plus. It's a budget-friendly spot if you're looking for a quick meal without spending too much.
While the menu has good options, I found the taste to be underwhelming. The flavors didn’t stand out, and the food lacked the punch I was hoping for. It’s not bad, but it’s not the most flavorful or memorable experience either.
Overall, Desi Mane is a decent choice if affordability is your priority, but if you're looking for exceptional taste, it might not fully meet your expectations.

Been to this place many times. Unfortunately last time we when party of 10 during weekday and were disappointed. 2-3 people had upset stomach next morning after eating here. Rasam and vada taste was horrible. Dosa was good not the best. Menu has changed and it seems like so is chef/cook. Will not be returning ethis establishment. Many options are nowavailable in Scarborough for dosa, will be exploring those.

This used to be a very nice place. The weekend banana leaf meal was one of the best in Toronto.
Lately they have only been doing take out on weekends due to staff shortage. We really hope that they get over their trouble and the place keeps operating.

The food is good but basic. Just like home, I would say.

Zerp stars. Push their useless thali even though the entire place was empty.
DO NOT GO. They don't serve a la carte during weekends due to some promotion. We drove 36 km only to be sent away. No where they mention this fact.. not even when we called to ask if there is a waiting for a table. Horrible service. The funny part is that they had only 5 people sitting and eating on 1 table. The entire restaurant was empty and now we know why.

We recently visited a delightful South Indian restaurant and were impressed with both the food and service.
We ordered the medu vada, plain dosa, and filter coffee, and each item was exceptionally delicious.
There were 4 small size medu vada in a plate was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as it should be, and the dosa was perfectly golden and flavorful.
Sambhar was really awesome 👌
The only regret is the size or quantity of Medu vada, should have been big in size or a bit increased in quantity
The filter coffee was usual.
A special thank you to the chef for creating such tasty dishes that reminded us of home, and to the lady who served us with warmth and attentiveness. Both of them made our dining experience wonderful.
Great job! We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was icy cold today as the heater wasn't turned on. So we couldn't enjoy our lunch! Please keep the heater on as it's getting cold in Toronto now.

The masala dosa tasted good and the dosa was crispy, though a bit light on the filling.
Onion pakoras also tasted good, but ended up with lots of leftover fried coating... a good or bad thing depending on your preference.
Overall would recommend this place and would go back.
