East Side Mario's

I really enjoy eating at east side Mario especially their tomato soup however, this time when I went, I did not have a pleasant experience. Previously, I have always had extremely lovely servers but this time, the server was extremely rude. I felt as if she was not even interested in talking to me. I do not mind waiting because I understand it was busy but the server showed attitude. One more bad experience on top of this was the charge she put on my bill. Me and my friend ordered a pizza and just because we shared the pizza, a $6 was charged on the bill. Does it mean that we cannot even share food! I wanted to have pizza and there was no way I can finish one entire pizza by myself. We even asked our server about the charge and she said that just because we shared food, they charged us $6 more. This has never happened before and I am really disappointed with this experience.

Visited East Side Mario’s yesterday, and honestly, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while.

We started with cocktails Limoncello Fresca and Cherry Apple Smash, which turned out to be nothing more than sugary drinks filled with glitter. They were overwhelmingly sweet and barely drinkable.

The complimentary garlic bread, which is usually the highlight of this place, was stale and lifeless. Then came the Calamari al Diavolo — soggy, greasy, and tasted like frozen calamari straight out of a bag. The combination with bell peppers was awkward and didn’t work at all.

For mains, we tried Mario’s Mangia Sampler — which included a small Chicken Parm, a spoonful of Fettuccine Alfredo, and a frozen-tasting Bolognese Lasagna. The Chicken Parm was above average, but the Alfredo tasted like plain pasta mixed with milk, and the lasagna was as bad as store-bought frozen ones — thick, bland, and dry.

Service was mediocre at best, and the entire experience felt like something straight out of a Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares episode.

Save yourself the disappointment (and about $100). There are far better Italian options out there, this one’s just not worth it.

We were greeted at the door and sat at a booth. The server was at our table within a couple of minutes. She was very sweet and pleasant, she answered and accommodated us with a smile. I didn't get her name as she didn't have a name tag, but she is really a people person and her smile made our day.

Took my mother for dinner tonight and it was amazing! We had the chicken parm and was hands down one of the best chicken parms I've had! Our server, can't remember her name because I have the brain of a goldfish and I meant to ask on the way out, was outstanding! She was very energetic, helpful, and outgoing! She made sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed and more! She had curly black hair and some pretty sweet cool looking nails! Kudos to the chefs dinner was awesome! Thank you again for the wonderful experience.

It has been years since I came to this location. Food had no taste. Very bland. Adding salt and pepper to my dish. Dish my sister and niece ordered little sauce to none. Asked Robert who was not our waiter for more sauce. He came with a small container, container that you would hold mayo for french fries. What is that going to do? Really. Had the nerve to charge $1.00. Failed to comminicate the extra charge. Instead of taking our dishes back and correcting it I posted a photo of our white pasta dish. Where is the bolognese sauce? Potatoe bacon soup had no taste. Caesar salad lacked the dressing. Bread and ice water was the star. Our waiter was Tony. Fantastic server. When we arrived, he told us he is overlooking several table and bare with him. We appreciated the heads up. Even though he was busy, he was very attentive to our needs. Food quality has gone downhill. I would not be coming back to this location. I would give a zero stars for food. Tony's service a five stars.

Meal is getting smaller and price is getting more expensive.

Both of us ate the meatball sandwich yesterday, Saturday, September 20, 2025 At around 4:50 PM. Both of us have had considerable gastrointestinal distress since late last night, early this morning and including this afternoon Sunday, September 21, 2025. Neither one of us ate anything else on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This information is provided as a warning.

I love coming to the restaurant, but just had the worst experience for a birthday where we spent over $400. First server was rude as soon as we sat around 7:40pm, by 8:30 kitchen was closed, table full of plates and not cleared. Since we were over 10 people tips it’s included and she definetly didn’t care about the service.
Finally my sister asked her if she was going to kick us out because of the way we were treated.
So if you like this place, don’t recommend this location at all, trust me.

Claim to be an accessible restaurant, however one of our party uses a scooter and was able to push washroom door open but they don't have a button only a handle to exit. Mentioned to the Manager on Duty but I am not confident it will be moves up the chain.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to our waitress Vee! Celebrated a birthday lunch with the family this past weekend and Vee did her big one! So enthusiastic, helpful, great energy and great recommendations. Food and drinks were also good and fresh!
