What a treat! A friend stopped by and shared some truly delightful mochi. On the outside, they were deceptively simple, but the moment you bite in, a burst of flavor-filled joy completely takes over. There are plenty of flavors for you to select for the outer casing .. variety of selections from classic to Almond flour to black sesame. The filling inside ranges from classic of peanuts and coconut, to real red bean filling to fragrant custard and many more options. The price is very reasonable. Within first bite, the taste melted my heart and made me to want to devour the whole thing. The flavor is wonderfully subtle, not overly sweet, and tastes incredibly fresh. 😋 Cannot wait to discover the other mystery flavors in the box!!!

Best kept secret for authentic traditional Chinese bakery
Very busy. Line up everytime.
Food excellent. Very traditional authentic taste.
Still the best egg tarts!
It’s a pretty cramped place. There’s no space for you to browse and pick what you want while people are lining up inside. It’s almost like you need to decide ahead what to buy and just tell them. Their egg tarts and “wife” cakes are really good though.
Very polite service
I went on Monday, after 11am. The wife cakes were cold. Expected a lot people must have bought many cakes already on Sunday so there would be fresh ones. They felt like leftovers from yesterday.
Probably down to personal taste preference but found the egg tart filling quite water downed tasting. The wife pastries were too sweet. The Cantonese chicken cookies were too were way too oily. 3 stars when fresh.

This small bakery shop is inside a stripmall. There is a lineup usually on weekends. Every body comes here for their delicious freshly made egg tarts and wife cakes. Highly recommended.
There's no seating, it's really a tiny hole in the wall.

Cash only and limited English. But what did you expect when you entered a tiny Chinese bakery like this? While they're mostly known for their winter melon pastry (lo po bing), they also have a variety of classic Chinese pastry, such as peanut filled coconut flakes mochi and flaky pastry with red bean, lotus paste, etc.
It's getting harder to find places like these nowadays with larger chains taking over and local businesses closing since the pandemic. You can't find the same nostalgic flavor elsewhere. Truly a great little gem.

Good bakery as always!
These are our traditional engagement pastries, and this bakery truly knows how to make them special. Their pastries are perfectly flaky, with layers that melt in your mouth. The texture and taste are just right, making them the ideal treat for such a meaningful occasion.
