I really love Gelato Shack and come here often for the chicken sandwich. No complaints on the customer services and the food. However, only putting one lady to work the cash and make the food especially on a friday night is not okay. The lady was kind and trying her best to get all the orders completed but this is too much work for one person and it’s actually sad to watch. Please hire more people and don’t leave one person working every position. This is not fair to the worker and leaves customers waiting for way too long. Hopefully this changes next time I go to the Scarborough location.

Amazing chicken sandwich that replaces Popeyes. It’s literally the perfect halal fast food option that I’ve been searching for since Popeyes changed their chicken sandwich. The balance of texture in the bread, spicy sauce that’s not too tangy, and the crispy yet juicy chicken go in perfect harmony with each other. Additionally, I love the tomato and lettuce slices which makes the sandwich more filling. Taking a bite of this sandwich thrust me down memory when I’d eat chicken sandwiches and delta minis at Popeyes with the family. Since most Popeyes in Canada are know known to not be halal I highly recommend checking this place out to satisfy that fast food craving.

Went for a sweet treat after dinner. Ice cream flavors were limited; we got a single scoop of moon mist and dark chocolate and both were very tasty. We checked Google to and their close time stated 10:00PM. We got there at about 8:30pm, and at 8:47pm the lady working there told us we needed to leave because they close at 9pm. We were still eating our ice creams as she started mopping the floor right beside us. We still had 13 minutes until their closing time. Not a great experience, it would have been nice to at least let us finish our treat before kicking us out.

I was very excited when this place first opened up as I've been living in the area for over a decade and I was looking forward to a spot that had all the treats this place did. Unfortunately I never really got around to coming here until this past summer and I wish I put this review up immediately but I didn't but here we go. I would never post something like this if I didn't see it for myself.
It was a summer evening and my family and I were craving some type of ice cream related dessert. So I said I'll go get something from gelato shack since we've always wanted to try it. I went in and placed an order, I had to wait about 10-12mins. During that time I took a seat and waited for my treat. I looked around the store and noticed one person sitting on a seat with an empty plate in front of her and a couple that were waiting for their dessert. The girl that had finished her dessert was on her phone but also going to town picking her nose (like I mean full on digging for gold leaving no rocks unturned). I was disgusted by that but a minute later she gets up throws her plate in the trash and then heads to the kitchen side of the shop. She walks in through the doors and we can see the kitchen fully. She does a quick rinse of her hands and I mean a quick rinse. She just glances her hands through the water and adds no soap. Puts her apron on and starts to work on an order that came in. My order was being prepared by another woman and it wasn't her. But I told myself I'm never coming back her after that and I haven't and I never will. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour!!

the customer service is horrible here and the manager is cheap
The food is great, however the portion sizes are too small for the price. I recommend the big easy sandwich, it’s my favorite thing from here but it’s not enough for the price, make sure to order 2 if you want to feel full. PLEASE replace those cloth chairs! They are extremely dirty and it’s very unappealing to sit inside and eat. Needs table and floor cleaning more often as well.

Poor quality, both ice creams we bought were syrupy as if melted and refrozen. They also charge extra for something that should be standard in an ice cream shop - $4.99 for a single scoop and you pay $1 extra to put it in a cone. Lastly, the girl serving us was rude and abrupt which left us feeling unsatisfied with our whole experience here.

An underrated and hidden gem near the panam centre and perfect for UTSC students. My friends and I eat here often usually after a gym session or between classes. The staff is always nice and super friendly. The chicken they serve is always super crunchy and my friends know I'm always raring to eat crunchy chicken. They have the big easy sandwich sold as a deal everyday as well burgers on the weekends. I have not tried much of their desserts or gelatos (slay me, i know) but whenever I do, I tend to have a pleasant time. Would recommend to UTSC students who are tired of eating uni food.
